Chapter 12 - Slaps & Kisses

"Need a ride to your house?" He asked, smiling at Jennifer gently.

She just stood there silently and looked up at him. After some time, she nodded and followed him to his car.

She sat in the passenger seat and he started the car. A few moments passed and he spoke, breaking the silence.

"I am sorry." He said.

"Why are you sorry? You are not Ethan." She said sadly and looked out the window.

"You are right but still take it on behalf of him!" Stefan said.

"Why is he hurting me so much when he doesn't even know me properly?" She asked, wiping her tears.

I didn’t even do anything bad. Then why is he judging me around? She thought while thinking about Stefan's words again and again.

"Well, I am not appreciating him but he is doing it for a reason. He thinks you are a danger to his family, mostly to Kate." Stefan said and Jennifer started laughing hard.

"Does this beautiful face look like a danger to you?" She asked while pushing his face towards him.

He looked shocked more like scared and pushed her by her shoulder and she huffed at his words.

"He thinks like that, not me. Ask that question to him." Stefan said and she gritted her teeth.

If Ethan insults me one more time, I swear I will kick in his crotch. I will make sure he stays in bed for one week, she thought, smirking evilly.

"What's going on with your evil mind?" Stefan asked, looking at her smirk.

"Nothing. I am feeling hungry." She said and her stomach grumbled agreeing with her.

"There must be some snacks in the car storage." He said and she opened the storage and found some chips there.

She quickly opened one of them and started munching.

"Actually there is another reason for Ethan's coldness towards everyone." Stefan said in a sad tone and Jennifer motioned him to say further by raising her eyebrows while munching the chips.

"Ethan used to love someone very much." He said with glossy eyes and she felt like the earth stopped moving at that moment.

Ethan and love? Doesn't match! A jerk like him will love someone? Impossible! She thought while rooting at her place like a statue.

"It was true, their true love!" He said with a sad smile.

Is it really true? He used to love someone but who? She thought, getting lost in his words and the chips were long forgotten in her hands.

"But their love wasn't lucky! He lost his love and also his unborn baby." He whispered somehow while controlling himself.

"What?!" She screamed as soon as those words left his mouth.

"That girl died and also their unborn baby?" She whispered and a lone tear escaped from her eyes.

She was crying maybe because she could understand how much pain Ethan went through!

There is a saying, 'Stories end, love stories don't!' but their story ended when it had just started, she thought getting lost in the unknown pain when she heard someone's loud laughter.

She looked at Stefan who was laughing hard as he couldn't control it anymore.

"Oh shit! You are so innocent." He teased her and continued laughing.

She got confused by his words and he looked at her confused face while trying to suppress his laugh.

"Adhu, it was all a lie. I was kidding." He said and started laughing again making fun of her.

"What the fuck!" She fumed in anger and started giving him hard punches in his shoulder.

"How could you tell a lie like that?" She asked and gave him more punches.

"Oh shit! You punch so hard." He said, groaning in pain, holding his shoulder.

"Serves you right." She said gritting her teeth.

"What good acting you did!" She taunted him while she was fuming more.

"I am, right? I am not only handsome but also very talented." He said winking at her, praising himself again and she rolled her eyes at his words.

"You should join the film industry. You will definitely get an Oscar." She said punching him again and he continued his laughter while wincing as she hit quite hard.

Soon, they reached in front of her apartment building and she came out of the car.

"Thank you but no thank you!" She said, making faces at him, and went inside the building.

After unlocking the door of the apartment, she went directly inside her bedroom. Then proceeded towards the bathroom to take a shower.

After the shower, she jumped in the bed and hugged her dear smirking emoji pillow.

"I missed you so much." She mumbled while smiling peacefully.

She was nearly about to fall asleep but heard her phone ringing. She opened her backpack to take out her phone and saw that her mom, Elena was calling!

All sadness went away from her heart and she received the call, happily.

"Mom, I am missing you so much." She chirped in happiness.

"I am also missing my baby." Elena said, making Jennifer smile.

Elena's voice was so soothing to her that she couldn't even remember that she was sad a while ago.

"How are you doing?" She asked and all the past events flashed in front of her eyes.

"I am doing very well." She said and wiped those tears which came out from her eyes without her permission.

Looks like the pain in her heart was stronger as her mom's presence couldn't melt it.

"How are you and dad? And also that monkey?" She asked, mentioning Adrian as a monkey.

"We all are good but feeling very lonely without you!" Elena said and Jennifer hummed in response.

"BTW, your dad is very worried for you so he is sending Adrian." Elena said, making her whine like a kid.

"No, he will annoy me so much." She said, continuing her whining.

"Your dad won't listen to you so the decision is final." Elena said and Jennifer muttered a small okay.

They talked a little more and said good night to each other.

Adrian is going to come here and I don't want dad to spend so much money on us! It would be good if I do a job but I am just a student, who will give me a job? Maybe I can do a paid internship in a company? Yeah, that will be good but will I get selected? She thought deeply and her thoughts halted when she heard a ping sound on her phone.

She picked it up to see that Kate messaged her.

S: Are you angry with me?

A: Why would I be angry with you?

S: I am sorry.

A: Why are you sorry?

S: My brother insulted you. He won't say sorry, that's why I am saying sorry.

A: It's okay, I forgot everything and I don't want to remember the sour moments again and again!

S: Okay! Good night, cupcake! BTW, there is a surprise waiting for you outside the door.

A: Good night, cherry pie! I will go and see ;)

She came out of her room, thinking about the surprise, and went towards the main door to check what it was! She opened the door and was shocked to see the person whom she never expected at her doorstep!

"Ethan!" She murmured while fear covered her mind.

"Will you just look at me or let me come inside?" Ethan asked in a calm but annoyed voice like he was forced to come to her apartment.

"Wait a second." Jennifer said, looking at the desk beside the door and picking up the sanitizer.

Safety first! Not from the virus, from him, Jennifer thought smirking in her mind and she sprayed the sanitizer from his face to the bottom in three seconds.

"What the hell! What was that?" He shouted while wiping his face with his hands and he was back in his angry mode.

"You don't know? Actually, I was sanitising you." She said, smirking.

"You are supposed to do that with my hands. Why did you do that to my whole body?" His eyes were glaring daggers at her like he was ready to murder her anytime soon.

"Because you are no less than a virus." She said and smirked again.

"This sanitizer kills 99.99% germs so I thought this will be able to kill 99.99% hatred of your heart." She said smirking at his angry face and keeping the sanitizer at the desk.

Oops! Maybe I said something extra. Because right now his face is looking like he will kill me any moment. What I said is very less in front of what he told me, she thought gulping looking at his scary red eyes.

"BTW, what brought you here in front of a gold digger's house?" She asked with a sarcastic smile and he didn't say anything, just stood still.

She looked at his eyes which were roaming in her body. She looked at herself and realised that she was just in a tank top and shorts.

Those shorts were too short and she mentally face-palmed herself.

"Eyes in here." She said while pointing at her eyes and this time he smirked at her.

She was about to wipe that smirk off his face with a punch but suddenly he took a step toward her and she didn't back off because she didn't want to show him that she was intimidated by him. He again took a step toward her and her heartbeat rose each second.

He again took a step towards her and their body was just an inch apart. He was so close to her that she realised she was so small in front of him.

Her face doesn't even reach his chest properly. He was about to take a step again and this time, she quickly moved away from him, standing aside with a flushed face.

He smirked seeing her reaction due to their proximity and he sat on the sofa like he owns it.

"Won't you even let me sleep in peace?" She asked while whining like a kid and he did find her adorable.

"Will you please sit so I can talk?" He asked politely which wasn't his cup of tea and she sat on the other corner of the sofa, maintaining a lot of distance from him.

"Now will you do the honour to speak?" She asked giving him a forced genuine smile while in her mind, she wanted to bang his head on the wall for continuously hurting her.

"I am sorry." He said, taking a deep breath and the way he said it, it was looking like the whole universe was stopping him from saying the simple-small sentence.

"What? Sorry, I didn't hear properly." She asked, not believing her ears.

Looks like I am having hearing problems. Why am I hearing sorry from him? She thought, stretching her ears wide.

"I am sorry." He said a little loudly, getting annoyed by her shitty acting.

His jaw was clenched and his hands curled up into fists.

"Your sorry won't be accepted until you really feel it." She said, giving him a small smile.

His whole demeanour changed suddenly and he got silent, looking down. Suddenly her stomach grumbled.

Oops! It's embarrassing. I need food, she thought and went to the kitchen.

She decided to feed him something too as it was his first time at her house. It's their culture.

Guests are God, even if they are your enemies so she made hot chocolate for both of them and grabbed some snacks to fill up her poor stomach. She looked up to see that he was looking at her intensely, consuming her every step through his eyes.

She ignored his stare and made her way to the sofa with the food. She kept those on the table and forwarded one mug of hot chocolate toward him.

He looked at her and then at the mug.

"I don't like chocolate." He said and she narrowed her eyes at him.

"All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt." She said while drinking her hot chocolate and licking her lips erotically which didn't go unnoticed by his hawk-like eyes.

He gave her an amused look and after a few seconds, he picked up the mug and had a sip. She smiled while drinking the hot chocolate after stealing a glance at him.

"Umm....it doesn't taste bad." He said, looking at the hot chocolate like it was out of a world thing, and again sipped it.

"You could have said it tasted good. But no, you have to say, it doesn't taste bad." She mimicked the last line in his voice, getting angry at his choice of words.

He clenched his jaw again and she focused on the hot chocolate instantly like the scared kitten she is! Then she stuffed her mouth with chips, getting afraid of the intense glare which he was shooting towards her.

Ummmm! It tastes so good, she thought, munching the chips and he was looking at her with his mouth open, so she grabbed a few chips and pushed them in his mouth.

But he wasn't chewing them and kept glaring at her, so she held his jaw and made him chew the chips, getting too brave for his liking. Then she didn't know what got into her, she held his cheeks and pulled them like he was a baby.

"Awww! You are so cute." She said while pulling his cheeks more and he was looking at her with a blank expression.

She pulled his cheeks more and she didn't even realise what she was doing to a hungry lion. She got lost in his charming face and cuteness while their face was too close.

He is so adorable. Wait a minute! She thought while something clicked in her mind and she shook her head to come into her right sense of mind.

Her eyes fell on him to discover an amusing smile on his face.

I won't lie, he is so handsome. Arrgh! What's happening to me? My heart is getting spoiled day by day, she thought, drooling over his handsomeness.

"Love is in the air. Do not breathe." Her mind said, narrowing her eyes at her.

"What the fuck is your problem?" Her heart asked, glaring at her mind.

"You are my problem." Her mind said to her heart with an unamused face.

"It's your problem, bitch." Her heart said, smirking to her mind.

"You are bitch." Her mind said, glaring at her heart.

"Will you both shut up?" She shouted at both of them.

Then her eyes fell on Ethan who had a mischievous grin and looked like she was in trouble. So she was about to move away from him when he suddenly pulled her towards him by clutching her wrist.

Then the next moment, her lips were on his lips because of the sudden force.

Jennifer's eyes became wide in shock and Ethan was frozen in his place while their lips were still attached. She came out of her shock after a few seconds and pushed him hard using all her strength.

She moved away from the sofa while rubbing her lips and he fell from the sofa because of the hard push.

"My first kiss." She murmured to herself and tried to cry but no tears escaped her eyes so she started whining like a kid.

"Mommy, he took my first kiss." She screamed out loud, complaining about him like her mother was really present there.

"What the hell! Why are you screaming?" He asked while getting up from the floor.

"You? Such an actor you are! I will kill you today." She held him by his collar and glared at him.

"I didn't do it intentionally." He said coldly, removing her grip from his collar.

"Oh really? You aren't shocked by the kiss, you seem like you are fine with it." She roared at him furiously.

"Stupid me! Why will you be shocked? Kissing must be a common thing for you but it's not common for me. I feel like I am used." She said and tried to cry again but her stupid heart wasn't helping her.

Why should I help you? Deep down you are happy because your first kiss was taken by a handsome hunk, her heart said giving her a bitchy smirk and she whined again.

"Now, what will I say to my future husband?" She yelled at him and he was looking at her drama with a mischievous grin.

Let's annoy her a little more, he thought with a playful smirk.

"I said, I didn't do it intentionally." He said, making an innocent face and she was thinking of thousands of ways to give him a kick in his ass.

"Don't do acting! I know you did it intentionally." She said gritting her teeth.

"If I would have wanted to kiss you, I wouldn't have done it like that." He said with a smirk and her head was boiling more in anger.

"What do you....." Her words stopped in her mouth because he smashed his lips on hers and this time, it wasn't accidental, it was intentional!

OMG! he is kissing me, she thought and started shivering in his arms.

His hands wrapped around her waist protectively and he started moving his lips on hers. Slowly a blush occurred on her cheeks.

Mommy, save me, she thought and fake cried in her mind.

Take that bitch, her heart said while laughing and butterflies appeared in her stomach.

Without her knowledge, her eyes got closed and she started savouring the moment. She wasn't moving her lips but he continued sucking her lips like they were some candy.

Suddenly, she realised what she was doing so she opened her eyes and gave him a hard push again. The next moment, Ethan felt a stinging pain on his cheek.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Jennifer slapped Ethan! Ethan wasn't able to digest the fact that he got slapped by a girl.

Jennifer looked at her hand which slapped Ethan and she immediately regretted her action. She started shivering in fear thinking that Ethan will now kill her so she looked up at his face, expecting rage in his face but no, he was smirking at her.

Okay! Now, I am more scared by his smirk, Jennifer thought and was about to run to her bedroom but Ethan got to know her stupid plan so he pulled her hand and she crashed with his body.

"This is for the slap!" Ethan said and started kissing her again, grabbing her nape.

Mommy, he is kissing me again! Save me, Jennifer thought, crying in her mind.

Now take more bitch, her heart said, smirking evilly.

Jennifer was punching him but he wasn't stopping kissing her so she thought to kick him where the sun doesn't shine. She raised her knee to kick him but Ethan again read her mind and grabbed her thigh, smirking at her.

His rough touch made her mind run wild with desire and she deep down craved more of his touch. After a few seconds, he let go of her poor lips, and anger again raised in her head.

So she did something she shouldn't have done again. Okay, yeah!

This time you got it. She again slapped him.

"You beast leave me." She said, trying to get out of his tight grip and she again felt Ethan's lips on her.

She was thrashing her hands in his embrace. Ethan squeezed her butt and her eyes widened more in shock.

After some time, Ethan let go of her swollen lips and Jennifer raised her hand again to slap him but his next words stopped her.

"The more you slap me, the more I will kiss you." He exclaimed with a satisfied smirk, enjoying her cute anger and she looked down blushing hard.

She couldn't believe that her lips weren't virgins anymore.

"You are looking so adorable, like a baby." He said with a laugh and she blushed more.

She looked up and saw that he was laughing carefree while pulling her cheeks just like she did to him.

He looks more handsome while laughing, she thought while a smile appeared on her lips.

Why is he behaving like he is drunk? He was bitter a moment ago but now he is behaving all sweet. Something is fishy, her mind said while thinking about what was fishy!

Hey, you annoying shit. Shut the fuck up. Let her enjoy the moment, her heart said, scolding her mind.

"Get out." She said sternly and Ethan's smile vanished immediately.

She held his hand and made him follow her to the door. Then she made him get out of the house and looked at him blankly but she saw hope in his face.

She closed the door in his face and he felt hurt by this behaviour but he couldn't believe that he kissed her so he touched his lips and smiled remembering the kiss. Nope, not kiss, the kisses!

Hey, you! What happened suddenly? I thought you made a bet with that bastard heart that you won't fall in love, his mind said, narrowing his eyes.

I won the bet. I told you no one can control love. Not even me, his heart chirped happily.

"Who said I am in love?" He asked, rolling his eyes at their words.

Look, who is talking? Should I replay the kissing scenes? his mind said, smirking and he went away from there to go back to his mansion.

On the other side, Jennifer was cursing Ethan again and again while washing her lips.

No matter how much you try, you can't remove those kisses which have been imprinted on me, her heart said with a peaceful smile.

"He ruined my whole day." Jennifer said, pouting sadly.

And he made my day with those kisses, her heart said with a peaceful smile.

Jennifer stomped her feet and went to bed to rest from all the drama in a single day.
