Zara.
The wedding was stunning. The most emotional I'd ever seen. And I thought Aminu and I'd engagement was emotional. I was lost for words during the vows that a tear almost rolled down my eyes. I felt as so much love and genuineness was poured into those vows and I was blown away. It made me imagine how my wedding would be. I looked across the platform to where Aminu was sitting. It turns out his eyes were also on me.
He smiled at me and I grinned.
He then mouthed a 'Love you' which I reciprocated and turned back to the event. Tanna was bawling her eyes out beside me. For some reason, she took it more personal than I did. I just hoped things with her and Louis were going fine because she was always avoiding the topic so I decided not to meddle.
The wedding ceremony had come to an end and I was mingling with my friends and waiting for the go ahead to the dome where the after party was to be held, w
Aminu. The wedding was a blast but what would be a better blast was having my woman by on top of me, fulfilling that delicious promise she made just before the wedding. We were about to go on our own honeymoon tonight. After the wedding was over and I was done with my grooms man duties, I went over to the table at which my sister, Zara and her friends were seated at. The issue was that from afar, I noticed that Zara was not there with them. I decided to go closer to see if I could get an answer as to where she went."Lotanna, where's Zara?" I asked when I finally got to her front. She had this worried look on her face and I just hoped and prayed that nothing was wrong with my Zara."I was about to come look fo you and Louis. Zara went home to get the gifts she forgot over an hour ago and hasn't returned." She said and my heart began knocking in my chest."What? Have you called her
Zara."Where are you taking me??" I yelled and strong hands latched onto me and carried me through the woods and bushes. I was utterly scared for my life as I wept for release."Please.." I cried "please release me." I said but I got no response from the person who carried me. I couldn't see his face. I could only hear the grunts coming from his throat as he stomped his feet in the leaves, taking me to God knows where."Please somebody help" I screamed but my voice just echoed through the empty wood. "Please" I screamed, thinking that someone, anyone would come to my rescue.Aminu, Louis. Where was everyone when I needed them the most. Where were they.I fought the urge to give up and kept screaming for help.Suddenly my body harshly hit the ground and I almost hit my head. I still couldn't see the face of the
Third PersonIt had been two days since Zara was kidnapped. Nothing had been heard from the police, everyone was on edge and trying to hide it from the older ones. The police were doing their best to search the environment where the car was found and beyond as well to see if they could find something that would either lead them to her or even more, find her.Aminu felt so helpless. Zara was a pure soul that didn’t deserve all this horror. He hoped in his heart that those devils hadn’t done something to her. It terrified him so much just thinking of what she might be going through. He tried to stay strong as he sipped his whiskey, sitting in Louis’ bar thinking about her. He could not seem to get her out of his thoughts. Not that he wanted to anyways. But sometimes, the thoughts were terrifying. Sometimes, he had nightmares of her being killed by being drowned, stabbed while he watched helplessly, unable to move. That was ho
Zara.My eyes fluttered opened to those bright lights again as I tried to make sense of my environment. It took me a second to realize that I was still in this hell hole kidnappers lair. I was exhausted and beat up and I probably had bruises on my face from the abundant slaps that good ole kidnapper henchman gave me. I did feel sore in that area. So maybe a red mark or two. There was no mirror to check with.I tried to sit up, thinking I was tied but I wasn't. My hands and legs were free of ropes. I was thinking that after my last stunt with stabbing the guy with the fork would have gotten me tied in chains and gagged as punishment but they left me free although of course the door and windows were shut. I silently hoped the man I stabbed wasn't in any fatal condition. I didn't want to kill anyone. I just wanted my freedom and I feel horrible for stabbing him in the first place. But I wasn't made to be kept hostage for a reason I didn't know.
Aminu. My head was banging to no end. I was awake and conscious but I knew what opening my eyes would mean. But the constant knocking on my hotel room door was getting me annoyed. Maybe if I didn't answer then that person would go away.Zara was still missing. There was still no update. I was still a mess. Still trying to figure out what at to start least save for the bounty we were putting out for her. A million dollars would go to the person who gave us the information that could be used to find her. That was over five hundred million Naira. It was nothing to me. I bought her a two million Naira Hermès bag. That money was pea sized to me but Zara. Oh Zara, she was everything. My soul was missing along with her.The incessant knocking made me finally open my eyes to bright lights that were super annoying. Who ever that it was better be someone relevant because if it was a staff, they'll definitely lose their job.
Zara.It was dark and gloomy, the skies. I was sitting in bed staring out the window. That was the only way I could get my freedom, but they're was no way out from there.Patrick lay beside me. We had talked and analyzed things together on how we were going to escape. My hope and faith were waning each second that we were still caged here. I was lonely, bored and missing my family. The fear in me had died down a little but it didn't change the fact that I wanted to be at home, not caged like a wild animal.Patrick was being very nice to me. He ate all the food they brought first to check for poisoning before I ate it. I was always afraid every time he put the food in his mouth. What if he died. I didn't like him but I didn't also want him to die.Since they brought Patrick in, the food had increased by triple. They brought us snacks and chocolates sometimes. It was quite weird how they were so articu
Zara. When nightfall finally came. We started to put our plan in action. I was quite skeptical about letting him go without me. But that was the only way to not be followed. We had planned that once he was out, I'd lie to them saying he went to use the loo so that no one would come after him. Then he would go and alert Aminu of my whereabouts and then his nightmare would hopefully come to an end."So I hope you know what to do?" Patrick asked me and I nodded."Yeah just sit here and look pretty. Oh and lie a lot" I said. He smiled."Even without a shower for three days you're still pretty" he complimented. I hummed awkwardly. I didn't want to give him any green lights. After that, he proceeded to using his hands to twist the iron bars of the protector. After over twenty minutes of twisting and grunting and groaning very quietly. He
Aminu.I walked into the lounge to see Louis drinking his whiskey as usual and having some discussion with Lanre. I had never seen him alone with Lanre before and I wondered what was up with that."Hey guys." I said in monotone. I didn't have it in me to be cheerful with anyone right now."Hey big dawg, how are you feeling today?" Lanre asked while I sat down facing Louis."Not very good." I groaned. My head was banging from all the overthinking I'd been doing.I noticed that Louis was silent. This just confirmed that something was up with him."Louis, I'll just go ahead now. I need to fix some tech for my clients but I'll come back as soon as I can." Lanre said. He said his goodbyes and left Louis and I alone.I threw my head back and closed my eyes."Are you okay ther
