I walked into the lounge to see Louis drinking his whiskey as usual and having some discussion with Lanre. I had never seen him alone with Lanre before and I wondered what was up with that.

"Hey guys." I said in monotone. I didn't have it in me to be cheerful with anyone right now.

"Hey big dawg, how are you feeling today?" Lanre asked while I sat down facing Louis.

"Not very good." I groaned. My head was banging from all the overthinking I'd been doing.

I noticed that Louis was silent. This just confirmed that something was up with him.

"Louis, I'll just go ahead now. I need to fix some tech for my clients but I'll come back as soon as I can." Lanre said. He said his goodbyes and left Louis and I alone.
