Aminu.
Previously...
Almost a week had passed and it was finally the day that we would stand trial with the arbitrator. Aminu had pushed for it because he didn't want the stupid case to taint his brand which was the wise thing to do. The arbitrator would essentially keep everything on a low and not attract press to it.
Or so I thought.
I hadn't spoken to Aminu even after Tanna's intervention. Now I was ready and I was going to surprise him at the arbitrator's office. There was no way I would leave him to do this alone. I didn't tell Louis because his big mouth would tell Aminu in a heart beat.
On getting to the venue for the trial, contrary to my belief, there was a swarm of press people with microphones and cameras at the doors to the building. What the hell? Who told them where it would be.
I decided to hide and slip in undetected. I met a secur
Zara Previously... Your honor, my client is not guilty of the allegations on him. First of all, this child is legally his son which means he had all the right to have the boy in his custody however, the way it is being narrated is not how it happened. My client went to the Plaintiff's apartment which in his magnanimity he had given her, only to realize that she had run away from the house along with all her belongings leaving just the boy, the nanny and a letter confessing all her crimes against Mr Garba here. My client having a good heart, took the boy into his home even after finding out that the boy is not his. So your honor, this whole case is a lie and shouldn't even have been a case in the first place." My lawyer said and sat down. "Objection my Lord! There is no evidence to back his claim" Jasmine's attorney said.
Zara Previously... The judge was rested back in his chair, but his face held shock and fear. Probably fear for knowing someone like Jasmine. Aminu who was sat beside me had become furious again and I stroked his arm to calm him which he was responding to well. The silence in the room was deafening for a few seconds before the judge finally spoke again. "Wow, officers, I don't know what you people are waiting for. Cuff her immediately." He said with venom in his voice. The policemen who were stationed in the courtroom went forward and cuf
Zara. Previously... When the police man had chained him to the table and left, Patrick started laughing. "What's funny" I said frowning. "You know, I never ever thought that I would ever see you again in my life" Patrick said, still chuckling. "Well, one last time wouldn't hurt. I used to consider you my friend." I said and folded my arms. "I used to be in love with you you know. Or should I say, infatuated." Patrick said and chuckled. It seemed as though he was finding himself amusing. "I know that" I said. I surprising was not feeling any emotions right now towards him. Everything was well and okay. He didn't disgust me the way Jasmine seemed to. "Yeah and you know I didn't intend to shoot you. I'm really sorry." He said. "I just hope you don't hate me" "I don't Patrick. Have y
Zara Previously... "Do you miss Greece? We could go back soon if you want." He said taking my hand across the table. "Yeah but we will plan it this time Mimi. No surprises." I warned and he sat up, putting his hand on his chest. "Promise ma'am" he said. "Good. So what are we eating, I'm hungry." I said and took the menu. The dinner date was really fun. We had laughs and talked about everything. Also gossiped about a few of our friends. We basically dissected everything while violating table manners. But we didn't care. Once we were done with our three course meal of exquisite delicacies, as of on cue, music started to play. One of my favorite songs at the moment. Odo by Johnny Drille. "Can I have this dance ma cherie" Aminu held his hand out smiling while I laughed at something he had said earlier.
Zara Previously... "Sorry ma'am I didn't wasn't to keep you waiting so I had to let you in before they were done." Atafo apologised. "There's no need to apologise. I don't mind" I shrugged. Tanna who had been silent all along tapped me pointing at an armless gown she seemed to like. "That's a really cool design." Tanna said. "Feel free to move around and choose. I'll be waiting for what you decide. You can also have this notepad to write down your thoughts." He said and gave us a notepad. We began our search. The gowns on display were all breathtakingly gorgeous. I was so shook at what Atafo could actually do with those hands of his. I Was already imagining what my wedding dress would look like. "So do you have anything in mind?" Tanna asked me. "Yeah I have an idea of what I want. I want an armless dr
Aminu. Previously... "Ma'am this is from Mr Garba" he said and gave me a card. "What's that?" Tanna asked. I opened it and smiled "aww it's a note" "Aww. Read it out" she said. So curious for gossip. I giggled. "To my Angel Wife, I remember the day we met. It was then that I knew that I wouldn't let you slip through my fingers. At first sight I knew that you were the one for me. I didn't care about anything else other than being with you from that moment. I just knew I wanted to see you happy. The love I feel for you is strong and eternal. My Queen, you are the light in my life, the air in my lungs. You give me purpose in every way and I am so happy you agreed to be with me forever. Your aura has consumed me and I want to bask in the light that you give for the rest of eternity. Today, we seal the deal and I just wanted to s
Hi guys...This is a new book called GARBA.I was inspired to write this book after watching one of my favorite web series: THE MEN'S CLUB.
Zara I got down from the car that brought my aunt and i from the village and my eyes came in contact with a glorious mansion. I had never seen such an edifice in my life. I was almost sure that I was going to get lost in this place. "Welcome,
