A Decade Earlier...
Alpha Victor looked closely at the little children playing in his courtyard celebrating his only son's ninth birthday party. The party just started, but he was disappointed that not all of his guests arrived. This was the day he would choose among the wonderful and suitable girls at the party who would marry his son. This was a very important decision, for if he chooses the wrong Luna, this great and mighty pack will be no more.
"Honey, stop watching your guests and welcome them" Luna Hillary of Black Diamonds Pack whispered to her husband.
"The witch said tonight," he replied smoothly.
"Do you really trust that woman? For all we know, she just wanted to wake us up that night," she soothed cupping his cheek to look at her.
"You don't understand my love. It happened to me, as well as my father. This is vital" Alpha Victor snapped his head to the sound of his Beta.
"I hate to interrupt your evening sir, but a rouge has crossed over our boundary and we know him," Beta Ross said with an unspoken emotion in his eyes.
"Who is it?" Alpha Victor snapped unconsciously growling at his Beta.
"It is the lost Alpha of Blue Ashes Pack..." Alpha Victor immediately left to the imprisonment leaving his wife with the Beta, but Luna Hillary would not just sit and do nothing. Alpha George was her friend too.
Little Victor Jr watched as his parents practically ran inside. He couldn't help the disapproved frown on his face.
"Don't worry kiddo, they will be back soon," Victor Jr looked up to his father's Beta smiling down at him. It wasn't the face he wanted to see, but it was close enough. He wore a quizzed expression on his face.
"You'll know all that you must when the day comes my boy." The blonde blue eyed giant knelt down to his level as he spoke. As if on cue, Victor Jr's attention was caught by one of his many friends calling him to resume their playing of soccer.
Victor Jr's mind was soon distracted, pushing the earlier subject and worries to the back of his mind. Beta Ross smiled as the boy joined his friends. He then swiftly went to the imprisonment to stay by Alpha Victor's side to ensure all is well.
"My good friend, what happened to you?" Concern was evident in Alpha Victor's voice.
Alpha George felt terrible having his best friend and wife seeing him in such a state. It was humiliating and a sure damage to his ego, pride and reputation. But under the circumstances, it was unavoidable.
Alpha Victor looked at his almost unrecognizable friend dressed in filthy, ripped clothing with a foul smell. His entire body bared bruises, cuts and scars and a deep healing flesh wound was seen on his right thigh. His usual black, short and tousled hair was now unraveled, long and was filthy with grim and dirt. Overall, the once powerful and handsome man seemed no better than a slave. As Alpha George was about to answer his friend's question, Luna Hillary burst in with guards trailing behind her. She immediately tackled the fallen alpha with a bear hug. Alpha Victor could feel his temper rising at the sight of seeing his wife so glad and anxious to see someone as well as the fact that another man was holding her. Jealousy flowed through his veins, but as soon as he was about to say or do something, his wife released him from her warm hug.
"Where were you? Why did you leave? Why do you look this way? Do you know how many persons died after you were missing? Do you know your pack is barely standing?-" she said in one breath.
"Okay Darling. I'm sure George is very tired right now and needs to be cleansed and to sleep. Tomorrow is another day. He will be better by that time to answer all of our questions," Alpha Victor took his wife into his arms as he guided her through the door. "and you need to be cleansed as well now that you have dirtied your dress and face."
"I guess you're right. Good night George" Luna Hillary said waving at him with a sad smile.
"Until morning Hillary," George replied.
Alpha Victor nodded to Alpha George and gave instructions to his guards to take care of him into his main castle. Alpha George felt relief wash over him to the sound of receiving a bath and warm bed to sleep on, but knew he had plenty questions to answer in the morning.
Alpha George was awaken by the entering of Alpha Victor and his wife in the guest room he was sleeping. He was bombarded with questions, but gave the powerful couple satisfying answers. Guards and many werewolves were sent to find and destroy Alpha George's kidnappers(mainly consisted of rouges and vampires). Alpha George was most eager to see his beloved wife and two children, Greg and Lovely. He was told that they were at the party and stayed after to see him.
"Daddy!" Six year old Lovely screamed as she jumped in her father's outstretched arms.
"Oh Lovely. I missed you so much."
"Dad," Greg tried to say casually, but tears stained his twelve year old face as he hugged his father. Alpha George looked up to see his dark haired beautiful wife staring at him with tear filled eyes and an unreadable expression of pure longing and love towards her husband.
"I thought you were dead," she croaked.
And with that said, tears spilled down her pale cheeks. Alpha George enveloped his wife into a hug as she held onto him for dear life. Lovely was on her father's arm and Greg was sandwiched between his mother and father, and for the first time in history, Greg didn't whine or bicker. He wasn't even jealous of the fact that his sister was in his father's arms, he was just happy that the family was reunited once again.
Alpha George and his family were getting prepared to leave for home which wasn't far after the destruction of his attackers and kidnappers. Alpha George told his family to go ahead without him, he wanted to speak to Alpha Victor in private before he left. Having trust in him, they followed his instructions.
Alpha George knocked on the red mahogany doors of his friend's alpha office. He heard him grumble saying that the door was open. He entered to see Alpha Victor busy doing paper work. He rose his head to meet his visitor.
"George, my friend" Alpha Victor greeted with a smile. "How may I help you now my good man?"
"May I be seated?" Alpha George asked him gesturing to the black leather seat in front of Alpha Victor's desk.
"Always my friend. You don't need to ask." Alpha George smiled at him and sat down in the comfy seat.
"I am actually here to ask of you for another favor." He said looking for anything in Alpha Victor's eyes that would turn down what he wanted to ask of him.
"Anything George," Victor gave him an encouraging smile.
Alpha George was a little hesitant and his friend realized that of him. Alpha Victor knew him too long to not know of his ways and the same of Alpha George knowing him.
"I am proposing an arrangement for my daughter to marry your son to unite the family." Alpha George said firmly.
"I was thinking the same thing my friend from the minute I saw her at the party." Alpha Victor sat back into his chair with a smile on his face. "And the best thing, is that I highly think they are mates" he finished.
The bright light of the sun shone brightly welcoming the start of a new day. I watched from my window, my father and his pack training out in the town's main training field. It is so peaceful here in the hills. My long time childhood friend looked up at me and acknowledged me with a stiff nod. I gave him an army salute and both of our faces broke out into a warm smile. My father barked at him to pay attention and just like that, I was no one again. I heaved a sigh and walked away from the window."Madam, would you like me to take your order for breakfast?" Jasmine said from behind at my room door way acting like my maid."Wow, you would make a perfect maid," I teased turning around to go into my bathroom."Noooo!" She scoffed dramatically."Well, as they say, practice makes perfect." I said turning on the warm shower as I entered the bathroom and closed the door."I am never becoming a maid, so there is no need for your supposed compliment" she said casually, no doubt that she felt in
I parked outside our school."You must admit he is cute." She grinned at me. For the past ten minutes it took us to come to school, Jasmine blabbered about guys in the school. She then accused me of liking her boyfriend which I quickly denied, but here she was talking about how cute he is."I guess," I sighed not caring if she'll use that for her benefit later."Okay. Later junior," she said coming out of the car with a sly smile. Yep, this conversation is going to haunt me."Later old woman," I watched her expression change set hard immediately. She then came out of the car to be tackled by her popular friends and the rest of the school population that absolutely adore her.I walked up the dreaded stairs of our school. I looked back at my cousin giving me a deadly glare and being the sweet one, gave her a flashing white smile. And let us not forget the flicker of my middle finger. Her glare turned into a scowl. Ain't I the best cousin ever? Yes I am. I turned around and my face met t
Didn't say they had to be welcomed. Didn't mention anything about the daughter of the persons who invited them to be nice. No, so why should I try. They might have saved my father's life, but many more lives were lost by their hands. Those worthless scumbags. I really, really dislike them already. I wonder if there's a way for me to get out of this "meet and greet" thing. For good measure, I could remind my blind parents how terrible I am at greeting people (my report card would be the evidence in this case) but when you have an Alpha for a dad, he expects everything to go his way. And I mean everything. Even the day I was born had to be perfect. And in my mind, I was like really? Control freak. I don't know much about my brother, but I am pretty sure my father is one. I am not one that's for sure."Jasmine don't disrupt my closet! The black dresses have to be in order of shortness," I chastised her.She narrowed her eyes at me and muttered something about OCD under her breath."If yo
"How is this dinner even relevant?" I asked my father as I came downstairs.I was dressed in a plain tight fitted black dress with gold earrings and a gold necklace as well that looked like two as a design. My hair was let free in its natural loose curls. Simple black pumps were on my feet. Simple and chic. Just the way I wanted to look. Jas won today. I didn't want to overdo anything for these people and I didn't want to give off the wrong impression that I actually liked them. Or was this outfit actually showing that I liked them? Arghh! I then wished I would have just stayed in my pjs and have mom drag down the stairs. That would definitely give the impression I dislike them or just plain don't care. My dress suddenly felt as if it was too short and I found the urge to stretch it further down but it kept coming back up a couple inches above my knees, almost mid thigh. And it seemed the more I tried to drag it down, the shorter it became. I was very, very frustrated. But then again,
