I woke up the next morning with my mate’s arms around me. I started stretching and found aches in places I had never felt aches in before. Isaac and I had made love three more times the night before and I was already ready for a break.

After untangling my body from his hold and taking a quick shower, I dressed in my leggings and sports bra and sat in the kitchen, drinking coffee for an hour.

I filled up a cup and took it to the bedroom. I sat it on Isaac’s side of the bed and went back to the kitchen, deciding to make breakfast. I made a couple of sausage and cheese omelets and took them to the bedroom on a tray.

I sat on the bed and started eating. As soon as the smell of the omelets hit Isaac’s nose, I saw one eye open and I giggled, “Good morning, mate.” Isaac groaned, “Good morning. What time is it?”

I chuckled, “It’s almost six a.m. I thought you might want to go to the gym and work out with me a

I looked at Alpha Kenny with a guilty expression and shrugged, “He had it coming. He was thinking of a way to prank the gamma, so I pranked him.” Alpha shook his head and chuckled, “And the thing with Gina?” I replied, “Serves Shawn right for rejecting her for one of the sluts. She needed a confidence boost and I wanted to show her how strong she can be.” Alpha nodded approvingly, “At least you are doing some good while you’re causing chaos.” I laughed my most evil laugh as he turned to Queen Winnie, “How is she doing?” Queen Winnie replied, “She’s catching on a lot faster than I expected. Her great-grandmother took a lot longer to be able to control one wolf.” I asked, “Didn’t Onyx help her?” Queen Winnie replied, “She was a sweet woman who didn’t take much interest in her gifts until she was nearly kidnapped by a rogue dragon. Then she felt like she was on a tight deadline.” Onyx huffed, “She wouldn’t listen to me at all. She was more stubborn than you are.” I laughed, “Onyx i

I woke up with a pounding headache and in a room that was decorated for a woman. I was on a comfortable king size bed with pastel pink bedding. The curtains were also pastel pink and looked to be silk. The windows were huge and let in a lot of light. Everything in the room looked to be high end and far from the dungeon I was expecting. I sat up and put my hands to my head, “Onyx, are you there?” She yawned, “Yeah. Whatever they gave us was not wolfsbane. It was just a sedative.” I added, “That gave me a headache from hell.” Onyx suggested, “See if there is anything for it in the bathroom.” I stood up and sat back down, “The room feels like its floating or something.” Onyx agreed, “It does. Try again but go slower this time.” I slowly stood up and walked to the bathroom. The room was huge with marble floors and walls. The shower looked big enough for four people to shower with their own shower head. There was one wall, by the sink, that had floor-to-ceiling mirrors. There were two me

I shook my head, chuckling, “Look, it’s a duplicate Alpha Tolvar.” He shrugged, “I could think of worse role models.” I cringed, “Yeah, I could think of a lot better too.” He chuckled, “Wow. So, my chosen mate is a smart ass.” He then slapped me, hard, across the face. I fell back onto the bed, then bounced right back up to my feet and punched him in the nose, breaking it. I sneered, “If you think you are going to beat this she-wolf into submission, you need to rethink your strategy, boy. This she-wolf has already taken out nearly every man your father sent to come after me. If they hadn’t drugged me this time, you would’ve had two men in our cells instead of one. So, you will not be able to tame me.” He sat up with a stiffened spine, “My mate is also a strong she-wolf. Please, let’s start over. I will not hurt you again.” I chuckled, “You think that hurt? You hit like a girl. I’ve taken much harder hits than that during training.” I sat down at the table and chairs in the corner o

Isaac POV I got out of the shower and went to dad’s office. I looked around for Zariah and asked my dad, “Where did Zariah go?” He answered, “She went to her house to take a shower and get ready to go.” I nodded, “Thanks.” I started to run out the door when Rolf started whimpering. I furrowed my brow, “What’s wrong Rolf?” Rolf answered, “Onyx says she has been taken by Big Creek pack.” I gasped as I ran back to dad’s office, I motioned for dad to follow me then started running to Zariah’s house. The first thing dad noticed were the two warriors on the ground. I was focused on getting inside the house. When I got to her room, I started panicking. I found a guy on the floor, just outside of her closet. It looked like my mate had taught him a hard lesson in underestimating his opponent. I wanted to punch him again and ask where she was. I mind linked dad, “Dad, you should come in here. You should bring a couple warriors with you.” While I waited, I looked in the bathroom and could t

Zariah POV I was hurting worse than I ever have hurt before. The luna started whipping my back and I know it probably looks horrible. I could feel that it was shredded by the time she finished, but then she insisted that Nathan start. She nagged, “You will beat her into submission. Make her bow down to you.” He continued whipping me until there was no skin left to rip. He then poured wolfsbane into the wounds. I was doing my best to think of happier days during the whipping, and it did help. There was no way I was going to give them any indication of weakness. I managed to keep from screaming in pain when Onyx whimpered, “Let me take most of the pain. If I go away, I will be back. I will be healing myself. Okay?” I sighed, “Okay. Thanks, Onyx.” While he poured wolfsbane into my wounds, I let Onyx take the pain and she yelped, then whimpered, then retreated to the back of my mind. I immediately missed her presence when Nathan started kicking me in the stomach and face. I was sure th

I growled, “The bitch needs to die. So does her mate. He didn’t lay a hand on me, but he ordered my abduction.” Isaac growled, “Yes, she does need to die. He needs to die for causing it to happen in the first place.” Queen Winnie comforted me, “It will happen sweetie. I think your alpha has already ordered it. I have also released the luna from being controlled by the dark witches. She is still showing very little going on in her mind.” I added, “That may explain why the witches chose her to begin with.” Queen Winnie visited with us for a while and then left with the promise of continuing our training tomorrow. She explained, “There are things you can do while relaxing on your porch or the porch of the pack house.” I agreed completely before she gave me a hug, then hugged my mate, then popped out. I turned to Isaac, “She is such a sweetheart.” My mate laughed, “She’s funny as hell too.” I chuckled and then groaned as I rubbed my ribs, “Apparently, my ribs are not completely healed.

I was released from the hospital two days later on the condition that I take it easy and rest for a week. The wolfsbane that had been in my system was finally gone, but it had drastically slowed the healing on my back. Onyx had only just barely healed the wounds, but I was definitely going to have scars. Isaac calls them my battle scars and he’s proud of how I’m handling it. I’m proud of the way he has been handling the trauma he sustained by seeing me like that. I know it bothered him. Queen Winnie and I were sitting on the porch to the pack house, watching some of the warriors train with Gamma Axel. I asked, “Does anyone need an attitude adjustment?” Gamma Axel gave us an evil laugh, “I actually do have one warrior who could use one.” After he pointed the warrior out to me, I concentrated on his thoughts and looked at Gamma Axel, “That man is so full of himself, there is no room for anyone else. It’s a wonder I was able to get in there at all.” Queen Winnie laughed out loud as Gam

When we reached our house, we got out of the car and Queen Winnie was standing on the porch. I looked at Isaac and chuckled as he let out a low growl. When I reached the porch, I asked, “Is there any chance we can have a couple days off?” She furrowed her brow and asked, “Why?” I answered with a suggestive expression, “The doctor cleared me for normal activity.” She looked at me with a confused expression. I laughed when I could see the light bulb above her head illuminate, “OH! Of course! I will be back the day after tomorrow. Isaac, be prepared to carve some time out of your schedule to train.” Isaac laughed, “I sure will. Thank you, Queen Winnie.” Winnie looked at me, “You are going to mark each other, right?” I nodded, “We are.” She smiled, “Perfect. I will see you both later then.” I laughed, “Thank you so much, Queen Winnie.” As soon as we were in the door, Isaac locked it then threw me over his shoulder and carried me to the bedroom while I laughed until my stomach hurt. I had just finished updating the books for the pack’s business when my phone rang. The school counselor sounded quite irritated when he informed me that Heather had finished the tests. I thanked him and told him we would be there shortly.I rushed to my mate’s office and smiled, “She finished. Let’s go.” Isaac beamed, “Okay.” He jumped up and we left. He started to head toward the truck and I shook my head, “It’s going to take longer to get me in there than it would to just walk.” Isaac chuckled, “Okay, then. I’ll push your chair then.” I nodded, “Okay.”We made it to the school in a couple minutes because Isaac decided to run most of the way. We went to the principal’s office and we found him trying to seduce his secretary by kissing her neck. Isaac cleared his throat and we watched him look at us while continuing his seduction. When he realized it was us, he stood straight up, cleared his throat and stuttered, “A-Alpha, L-Lu-Luna, how may I help you?” I just shook my head in disappo

The next morning at breakfast, Franco asked, “Alpha, is it okay if one of my little brothers comes down for a visit?” Isaac nodded, “Of course. How old is he?” Franco smiled, “He wants to look for his mate. He is sixteen.” I smiled, “Make sure to take him around the whole pack. Is he planning to spend a couple days?”Franco nodded, “He was planning to stay at least a couple of days. If he finds his mate in your pack, he is planning on asking permission to build a house.” Isaac agreed, “Of course he can. I will always welcome new pack members.”I reminded my mate, “I will be going to the school with Heather this morning to give permission for her to take the test to graduate early.” Isaac asked, “Isn’t she a bit young for that? She’s not even in high school yet.” I laughed, “She will be fine. She just isn’t being challenged enough right now. She wants to start college.”Isaac raised his brows at Heather, “Are you still wanting to be a doctor?” Heather nodded, “I am. I want to have my l

When we got to the kitchen table, everyone was there and Aadi looked like she was ready to burst. I chuckled, “Aadi, would you like to tell us your news first?” She laughed, “You got a visit too, didn’t you?” I nodded, “I did. But I will let you tell everyone what she told you first.”She grinned, “I know the path for both sets of twins.” Franco asked, “You do?” She nodded as she continued to tell everyone at the table everything the Goddess told me. She looked at me and asked, “Do you have anything to add?” I shook my head, “Nope. That covers everything she told me. I’m excited for them and they haven’t even been born yet.”Blaine asked, “Did she say when they would shift for the first time?” I answered, “I know your siblings will shift as toddlers. She didn’t give a specific age.” Aadi answered, “She didn’t tell me anything about when ours will shift.” I added, “But I would assume that if they were meant to go through everything together, then they would all shift together.”Heather

The meeting ended up lasting until late into the night as every unmated she-wolf wanted to see if Ben was their mate and we answered unending questions about the babies. I finally turned to Isaac and asked, “I wonder how many ways we can say that we don’t know what their path is?”Isaac laughed, “I don’t know, but I’m starting to wish we had not said anything about them.” I shrugged, “They’re just curious. All of our other kids had a purpose, so they are wondering about what will happen with these babies.” Isaac agreed, “I can understand that, but we already told them before the meeting ended that we didn’t know yet.”When we finally got home, it was late and even my night owl, Blaine, was ready to fall into bed when we got home. We said goodnight to the kids and went straight to our room. As soon as we were ready for bed, Isaac got under the covers and held his arm out to me.When I got under the covers, I immediately scooted over and tucked myself in with my head on my love’s chest

When we went home for dinner that evening, Heather and Blaine were clueless. However, Aadi was nearly bouncing off the walls in excitement, “Was I right?” I laughed, “You were.” Aadi giggled and hugged me, “I knew it! I’m so happy!” Isaac laughed, “There is some additional news. When we all sit at the table, we’ll tell all of you.”An hour later, we all sat at the table for dinner. Isaac sat his phone in the middle of the table, “I have Lena on the phone so she can hear the news too.” I smiled, “That’s an amazing idea.”I then turned toward the phone, “Hey baby girl! How are my grandbabies?” She giggled as she answered, “Growing like weeds! They’re starting to crawl already.” I smiled, “That sounds like so much fun.” She laughed, “It is. It’s exhausting too.”As soon as Heather and Blaine sat at the table, I started, “Well, I went to my regular doctor today. I am officially one week pregnant.” There were cheers around the table and on the other end of the phone. Isaac added, “There is

One week later, I was eating breakfast with my mate and Aadi when a queasy feeling took over my body. I rushed to the bathroom and lost every bit of the breakfast I had eaten. As I rinsed my mouth and used mouthwash, Onyx advised, “You should go to the doctor today.” I smiled, “I will do that. Thanks.”I went back to the table and drank more coffee. Aadi smiled, “Are you going to the doctor today?” I chuckled, “Onyx is telling me to, so I guess I better go.” Isaac asked, “Do you want me to come with you?” I nodded, “I think you should.”He asked, “What are we going to the doctor for?” I raised my brows at him, “You didn’t know what I was doing in the bathroom?” He shook his head, “To be honest, I was mind linking Stone with something I needed him to do today.” I smiled, “I’m pretty sure we are going to have a baby.”Isaac jumped out of his chair and let out a huge celebratory howl then knelt by my chair to look me in the eyes, “Are you sure?” I nodded, “Onyx is telling me I am and tha

I sat on Doctor Spink’s exam table after all of the x-rays and ultrasounds had been completed. I knew Isaac was nervous because he couldn’t sit down at that moment if he tried. Doctor Spink asked, “Are you having any pain at all now?” I shook my head, “No, just itching from the incision.” She sighed, “Yeah, that’s a common issue. Some lotion with Aloe in it should help that.”Doctor Spink took a deep breath and let it out audibly, “Well, it looks like the surgery was a big success. I see very minimal scar tissue now. There are no obstructions anywhere, so you should be okay to start trying for a baby. I would like to see you again in a year just to make sure the scar tissue didn’t come back. Otherwise, you can see your local doctor for prenatal care.”I smiled through my tears as Isaac held me, “Thank you so much. You have no idea how much we appreciate this.” She chuckled, “Oh, I think I do.” Isaac had tears falling as he shook the doctor’s hand, “Thanks so much, Doctor. This means

The drive home would have been excruciating if they hadn’t pumped me full of painkillers before we left. Doctor Spink knew that we had a three-hour drive ahead of us, so she tried to make sure it would be as comfortable as possible and I was so thankful. When we got home, I was gently lifted and placed in my wheelchair, then I was pushed into our house. We were immediately met by Aadi. She asked, “Does she have meds?” Isaac answered, “I need to pick them up from the pharmacy. They loaded her up on pain meds before we left.”Aadi nodded, “She should probably be in bed then. I will take care of her while you go get the meds.” Isaac kissed my forehead, “I’ll be back as soon as possible, love.” He walked out the door and I sighed, “That man is my life. You know that Aadi?” She chuckled, “I know that Zariah. I shook my head, “There is absolutely no way that could happen, son. You guys are just as much my real children as the unborn ones are. I have never had a favorite child and I will never start. The pack knows this too. That means, Blaine, no matter what sex our future children are, you will still be the Alpha heir. You are the one the Goddess wants leading this pack.”Blaine shrugged, “Then I guess I’m all in.” I smiled, “Thank you, son.” Isaac smiled, “I’m really proud of you both. Your mom was super worried about hurting your feelings. We even agreed that if you were not okay with us having a baby, we wouldn’t even try.”Heather furrowed her brow, “Mom, why would you do that?” I shrugged, “Because I want you two to feel like you are part of our family, even if it means not doing something I want. But that’s what parents do all the time.”Blaine gave me one of the most serious looks that I have ever seen and I even felt a little alpha aura come out, “Mom, don’t ever sacrifice your hap
