Who is it?” Victoria questioned this time around.

Silence!

Deciding to go back after a few seconds of silence from the other side, “Miss Natalie, can we talk for a moment?” came a calm voice from behind the door.

“Mr Kael?” A surprised Victoria exclaimed. “What brings you here by this hour? And Natalie? Is it what I think?” Victoria teasingly asked Kael again.

Could Mr Kael possibly have fallen in love with Talie at first sight and he couldn't even wait till daybreak before seeing her again? Oh gosh! That's so sweet!

Understanding what she was trying to say, he only smiled. “I don't know what you think of Miss Parker but I do want to have an important discussion with Miss Natalie tonight, please,” he added.

Natalie who is now by the door post listening to their conversation stood bewildered as to why the assistant to the mysterious CEO will be by their door post at this hour and even wanting to have a discussion with her.

She was only planning to submit her Resumè to the new branch of Eth-AB Corp close to their street the next day since she just saw the job adverts earlier in the afternoon and now Mr Kael is here. Or, is he probably aware that she is in need of a job?

“Mr Kael, I want to believe there's no problem or is this still related to what happened this evening? It's fine. I understand that it's all a misunderstanding.” Natalie said thoughtfully.

He is probably here to plead on behalf of his boss as such action can be said to be an assault and she could even file a lawsuit against him which will tarnish his image. Even though she wasn't going to do such because she obviously has no money for that, she still finds his coming thoughtful but quite unnecessary at a time like this. He could come when the day breaks, right?

“Miss Natalie, it is related to what happened earlier and I will appreciate it if we can sit somewhere out here to discuss this alone. I promise I won't hurt you.”

The two girls exchanged quizzical looks because it really seemed like an important issue. After a few seconds, Victoria spoke up again.

“Alright, Mr Kael. I will excuse both of you now but I trust you will keep her safe and end whatever important discussion this is about on time.”

“Sure, Miss Parker. Thank you”

“You are welcome and please, since this is not official, you can call me Victoria. Miss Parker makes me feel old”. Victoria cheerfully said before giving a “you-know-what-to-do” wink to Natalie and then, shut the door.

“Can we have this discussion while taking a stroll Miss?” Kael said, unsure of how to explain things to her in a way she would understand.

He wouldn't bother himself doing this if not for the instruction given to him by the Grand Luna a few minutes ago.

*Ring*

“Hi, Grand Luna, good evening to you”

“Silly boy! I have told you countless times to call me grandmother like Ethan does but you just will not listen. Huh? How are you doing, my boy?”

“I am fine, grand lu…grandmother.” He quickly corrected himself.

“How is it over there, I heard you have completed another project again. I just hope that friend of yours isn't stressing you out?”

He isn't surprised any longer. Being an old lady doesn't mean she doesn't have her way of getting any information she needs.

“He is being all good to me except a few Alpha voice commands here and there”

“That being said, what is going on with him? I know his wolf is on the brink of going feral but the portion of wolfsbane in his system should still be able to keep him in check until he finds his mate. I just hope he finds her soon” Henrietta's worried voice sounded from the other end.

“Actually, there is a problem, grandmother.”

“What is it? Is it about the full moon again? If he is chained and locked up, everything will be fine. You don't have to worry about that.” Henrietta assured him again.

“He found his mate!”

“What? Ethan has found her? When? Where? And he couldn't tell me when I spoke with him a few minutes ago?” She bombarded him with questions.

“Yes, he found Luna already. This evening, while returning from the new office project, he suddenly told me to stop the car, and dashed into a nearby supermarket. There he saw her and claimed her as his immediately.”

“This is great news. I believe the reason he shunned me earlier was because he wanted to spend a nice time with her. And oh, it's the full moon too. Should I be expecting grand pups soon? The whole pack should know about this.” Henrietta couldn't contain her joy.

She knows how well Ethan suffers every time especially during the full moon like this. She even had to threaten him that if he doesn't find his mate before the next full moon, he will be forced to give up his title as Alpha just because she can't stand watching him in so much pain and anguish again. Of course, everyone knows how well Alphas cherish their position and would do anything to keep it. Maybe it worked after all, he found her on the full moon.

“Grand Luna, Ethan doesn't want her,” Kael said again.

“He doesn't want her? That's a big joke. Which wolf wouldn't like his mate? Talk more of an Alpha? Considering how long he has been waiting for her, he found her now and doesn't want her?”

Henrietta sees no sense in whatever Kael was saying. Although she knows her grandson is a jerk, he would not be so stupid to reject his mate after such a wait.

“Yes. Although, he is yet to reject her but he left her alone when he discovered she is human”

“Human? Did you just say the Luna is human?”

A word from over 100 years suddenly flashed through Henrietta's mind: “An Alpha’s fate will be tied to a human. Her love will bring him much pain but her presence will be the only cure to his pain”
