Chapter 66:

My two feet landed steadily on the ground. I wrapped my arms around aura and when I opened my eyes, I realized I didn't die. Aurora, I remembered myself and I quickly checked if she was okay.

Sucking on the pacifier, her blue Iris were staring deep into mine. She was safe. I wanted to kiss her that moment but we still have a long way to go. We might be out of the packhouse castle but we're still in the pack.

I took slow steps forward towards the roadside in the hope of seeing a cab that can take me out of town.

I stood by the roadside and a lightning struck. I lift my head up to look and gazed at the night sky. The stars are no where to be seen and the dark cloud has covered the once half moon. I need to get Aurora and I to somewhere safe before it begins raining.

Aurora is still young, she's barely 2 months old so I won't risk her in the rain. She's all I got.

I dropped my head slowly and focused my eyes on the road. The fact that Liliana left without me still hurts me.
