Harper was pleased with her response and opened the file to read.

Daisy stood frozen in his office, staring at him.

When Harper realized Daisy had no intention of moving, he became agitated and vigorously ordered her to “get out”.

Daisy got out of her stupor, she had never felt so humiliated in her life, she left the room, but not before slamming the door loudly, Harper raised his head and looked angrily at the closed door,

He was speechless at the boldness of the girl.

“What are all of these noises coming from the next door?”

Daisy emerged from her room after freshening herself and asked Ashley, who was busy in the kitchen.

“The flat next to us will be occupied soon.”

They lived in a more affluent neighborhood, which implies exclusivity and luxury. It is nestled among well-kept landscapes and affluent homes, and it offers breathtaking views and peaceful surroundings. The elevated location not only provides solitude but also indicates their desire for a refined and elevated lifestyle. Ashley placed the freshly baked cookies on the kitchen counter and looked at Daisy, who was drooling over the cookies.

"How was your first day of internship?"

"Don't bother asking; it was a terrible and dreadful day in my life"

Daisy said with an unpleasant look.

Daisy told her everything from beginning to end.

“Don't let an elderly boss ruin your day.”

Daisy stopped chewing the cookie for a moment but did not tell Ashley that her boss was not an older man.

“Why are you baking a lot of cookies today, I think these are enough for two of us”

“Oh, we have new neighbors that moved in today; let's go greet them.”

Daisy nodded her head in agreement; they were only on this floor of the building, and knowing that another family going to live with them on the same floor made them glad.

Ashley put the cookies in an appealing container and rang the bell, both were happily waiting for the door to open, but as soon as the door opened smile on Daisy's face vanished after seeing the man in front of her and shock took place

Ashley looked at Daisy and ask

“Do you know him, Daisy”

“Yeah, he is the boss I was talking about”

Daisy briefed Ashely in hushed tones, who was taken aback when she saw a young boss in front of her.

“What are you doing here”

Harper rolled his eyes as he was rendered speechless by the girl's audacity in following him into his flat.

“We are neighbors and bring you a home warming gift”

Daisy mustered up the courage and speak

Harper looked at the cookie box in her hand and smirked

“I don't need it, and make sure to pay close attention: I don't want to run into you again close to my flat.”

He slammed the door in their faces after warning them in a stern voice.

“Did you notice how crazy he is?”

Ashley was taken aback by the man's boldness in slamming the door in the presence of two attractive women.

“Daisy, don't worry, we'll have plenty of opportunities to teach him a lesson in the future.”

Ashley consoled Daisy in a hushed tone.

“Harper, why are you using drugs again? I don't think I need to explain to you how bad they are for your health.”

Alex gazed at his dear friend, he knows, A maelstrom of emotions is brewing behind the cool and aloof face, concealed from everyone.

“How many times do I have to tell you that they provide me with relief? If I don't take them, my patterning becomes agitated.”

Harper closed his eyes and rested his head on the sofa's back.

“These will take your life one day”

Harper just smirk

“Who wants to live this long”

Alex lighted the cigarette and looked at his good friend, who was so dissatisfied with life.

“I know what happened in the past is so traumatic for you, but forget about it, you have to live for yourself, if not that think about your family”

Harper abruptly leaps from the sofa and yanks Alex from his collar.

“Don’t ever bring that so cold family in front of me, I have no family, if you ever do that again then this will be the last day of our friendship”

His raging voice echoed through the room which overwhelmed Alex

“I… I am sorry Harper”

Alex also felt he misspoke and apologized.

He let go of his collar, picked up his keys, and walked out the door.

Alex did not go after him; he knew that Harper needed some time to be alone.

Daisy came out of her apartment the next morning to find Harper standing in front of the lift; as the lift door opened, he entered, and Daisy followed him in.

“Good morning, sir”

Daisy beams and cheerfully greets him.

Harper ignored her.

Daisy became enraged after Harper ignored her and treated her as if she were nothing.

“Nobody should be that nasty to others”

She muttered in a low voice

Harper, who was dressed formally and exuded an air of elegance and sophistication, and was ready to go to the office, became irritated after hearing Daisy's statement; he was suffering from a headache caused by drugs and alcohol, and he did not want to respond to the girl.

Daisy glances at his irritated expression and speaks again to aggravate him.

“Do you have mouth pain and find it difficult to speak?”

Harper got more furious, he grabbed her by her arm and pinned her on the wall of the lift. Suddenly the temperature of the room drops down, Daisy also gets frightened by his sudden rage His hold was so tight that Daisy felt pain.

“It will only take me a second to make you quit, and you will not prefer my method”

Daisy felt his breath on her face while he was speaking. She felt a chill run down her spine as a result of his cold voice, which also left her feeling eerily gloomy. She felt apprehensive and agitated by the cold vibe he emitted as his comments reverberated throughout the lift.

Daisy tried to push him away with her one hand which was not avail. She cowered in terror, her eyes wide as a startled deer, as if even a gentle breeze could make her vanish. His chilly voice was so powerful that it made her tremble as if he were a terrifying ghost. In all this situation they did not feel that the lift had already stopped

“What, got scared”

Harper lifts his eyebrows and mocks the girl;

“You are getting out of line Mr. William”

Daisy trembled and struggled to push him once again, but she was little more than a small insect in comparison to a big guy like him.

Harper smirked and spoke in a cold voice which sent a shiver down her spine

“You have no idea what I'm capable of if you ever cross me again”

He warned her and lost his grip on her arm
