Everyone in the meeting room became alert as soon as he walked into the room. Everyone was quiet because of Harper's personality. His cold demeanor entices those who dare to explore his depths, shrouded in mystery. Behind his unapproachable exterior lies a captivating enigma. In his cold demeanor, he appeared so unapproachable and dashing that female staff forgot to take their gaze away from him, but he paid no attention to them.

His assistant Albert followed him from behind, Harper took the main seat and Albert also took his respective seat, and order to start the meeting

He lifted his head and noticed a female hiding her face behind a notebook; he recognized the girl, who was sitting beside his uncle. And confirming that his guess was right

Daisy was surprised to see Harper in the meeting, and she was even more surprised when Mr. Larson introduced Harper as the President of King Corporation.

She was attempting to hide from him but was unsuccessful when Harper ordered her to stand and clarify what the secretary had just said.

'How am I going to explain this? 'I wasn't even paying attention.'

Daisy speaks inwardly

Mr. Larson looked at Daisy, thinking she was merely confused. "Don't be panicked, just explain," he said. Daisy had an anxious expression on her face.

Harper puts a sneer on his face and says,

"Can't you summarize what he just said?"

No one in the room dares to speak in front of him.

Daisy undoubtedly believed he was exacting vengeance on her

"I don't remember"

"You don't remember or you weren't listening, I don't think we need an unattentive and dumb worker here"

Daisy was not the girl that was sent to seduce him, according to the information Albert provided him. But the fact that she is sitting next to his uncle makes him suspicious of her.

Daisy had never felt so insulted in her life; she couldn't take the insult any longer, and staying with Harper in the same room seemed more impossible than ever, so she picked up her notebook and exited the room.

Harper did not show any emotion and turned around and motioned the man to continue.

Everyone in the room has troubled expressions on their faces, they know Harper is not the kind to be lenient to others; she will get in trouble for the bravery she just shown.

Daisy hurried to the toilet, taking deep breaths and attempting to calm her beating heart. No one has ever insulted her in this way before. She wishes to flee from this place and never return.

She came out to find a message from Mr. Larson inviting her into his office.

Daisy walked into Mr. Larson's office where Harper, Larson, and their Assistants were standing. "Come over here"

Daisy walks toward Mr. Larson

"Harper, she is my friend's daughter, and she is here for some experience; I hope you don't mind if she stays here"

Harper looked at her coldly and said, "If she is good at her job, why should I object?"

Mr. Larson looked at him and remarked, "So I can relive myself that she is under your protection"

Mr. Larson was concerned about Daisy; he promised his friend, Daisy's father that he would take good care of her, and she wanted to gain some business experience, so he gladly welcomed Daisy for the internship, but Harper's behavior in the meeting room worried him, If he hadn't needed to leave the country for other businesses, he would never have left her here alone.

"Don't worry uncle, I will take good care of her, and you can easily go wherever you want to go," Harper smiled, but his smile did not reach his eyes.

Mr. Larson felt relived and left the room after saying goodbye to everyone

Daisy looked at the door as Mr. Larson went as if she had lost her only support.

Harper got to his feet and asked her to follow him.

Daisy follows him into his office on the building's top floor, which is adorned in black, grey, and white, with a sense of modernism and elegance filling the air. One wall of his workspace was made of glass, which allows a flood of natural light in and provides a sense of openness and inspiration. And the open-air garden on one side of the window provides a breath of fresh air to the workspace, allowing the outside world to seamlessly engage with the work environment.

Harper looked at Dasiy, who was looking around, and motioned her to sit down and give some directions to Albert.

Albert went out and collected a large number of documents. And put them on Harper's table, Daisy was confused after looking at a large number of documents when she heard his cold voice

"the childish behavior you just displayed in the meeting room, this is a small punishment for that, these are the documents you must sort out before dawn."

Daisy looked at the huge amount of paperwork and realized she wouldn't be able to do this work till daybreak.

She did not finish her sentence When Harper interrupted.

"There is no if; if you are unable to complete that work, it means you are incompatible with working in this corporation."

She was aware that the King Corporation is the country's largest corporation and that it has many branches in many countries around the world, but she refuses to accept that the president of this corporation is so young and rude.

She didn't want to miss this opportunity, so she silently picked up the files before turning back, Harper called her from behind, 'What again?' She spoke softly, not too loudly.

When she looked at him, she forced a very big smile

"You did not pay for the phone that you broke today."

Daisy sneered in her heart as she glanced at the man.

'What’s the point of having so much money if you can't spare someone for a broken phone?'

Daisy said nothing and stood quietly

"Do you understand"

"What a stingy man."

Daisy murmured,

"Did you say something?"

"n..no sir, you will get that tomorrow."
