CHAPTER ONE: Marriage proposal

Hayden dark walk through the hall to a dimly lighted room where pride dark, his Father sat down on a couch reading.

It was raining heavily outside and Hayden dark hair was wet.

Pride dark raised up his head to glance at his only son briefly before turning his attention back to the old book in his hand.

" Father you call for me " Hayden Said politely still on his feet.

" Sit " Pride mumbled to him.

Hayden sat down accross his father patiently. Finally Pride put aside the book he has been reading to face his only son.

" Hayden " He called calmly.

" Yes father "

" Now that you are the current leader of beast family it is only the right thing for you to get yourself a wife "

The expression on Hayden's face froze as if suddenly turn to stone. His beast growl softly.

" Father i told you many times before now, I don't want to ... "

Pride cut in angrily " I won't hear none of it. As a leader who both the humans and beasts look up to you are expected to get married. "

Hayden look away angrily muttering to himself.

" I will find myself a woman as soon as possible father. Do not worry " he replied his father who responded with a glare.

" Do you expected me to believe that ? " Pride asked sarcastically. " No i won't because that is the only words you keep saying for over three hundred years now. Do not worry yourself about getting a bride because i found you one already "

Hayden turn to his father with surprise. He saw the determination im his father's face and he knows then that nothing will change the man's decision.

" Who is she ? " Hayden mused after a while.

Hayden dark was known to be dominant, confident but also arrogant. He fear no one except his father who only his sixth sense never work upon.

But as he sat down with him he could feel the hesitation in the air.

" She is Isabella Martin, the heiress to MT site company " Pride said muttered.

Suddenly antsy Hayden rose on his feet.

" Human ? " He asked in a hard tone and his father lifted his head to face him squarely as if he had know that Hayden Won't accept a human as his wife.

" Yes " Pride replied firmly.

Hayden Scoff before gritting his teeth.

" Father i will never marry a human " he said.

" Then you can as well stop calling me father " pride said easily. He gave Hayden one last glare before he picked his book and resume reading.

Hayden clenched his jaw and walk out angrily. He met his secretary waiting for him in the hallway.

Unlike every leader who has ruled the beast family in the past Hayden has prefer to employ a human as his secretary.

Kyle , the Young secretary followed Hayden as the latter dash out from his father's room.

He had overheard the entire conversation, not that he was eavesdropping though. Their voice was loud enough to be heard despite the rain pour.

" Master the rain. " Kyle yell loudly to Hayden who step into the rain and towards his car. Hayden didn't reply but Kyle was very sure he heard.

He followed him quickly to the car and settled himself down behind the wheel while Hayden sat at the backseat.

" Is everything alright master ? " Kyle asked gently staring at Hayden through the visor.

" Start the car, let's go home. Don't act nonchalantly, i knew you overheard the conversation " He replied grimly.

" Not by choice sir " Kyle replied smiling.

" Whatever " Hayden said rolling his eyes " hey wait! Let's go to the club. It's a nice weather for me and Cecil "

Kyle grunted before starting the car. He has never been a fan of Cecil from day one.

Cecil has been the new beast Hayden has been dating. Not that he was serious about the lady though, all he love about her was just the way she submit herself to him whenever he asked.

Kyle finally pulled into the club and Hayden alighted slowly.

Kyle unbuckle the seatbelt and stopped halfway from getting out of the car when he received a message on his cellphone and he suddenly become tensed as he read the content.

Hayden felt his uneasiness with his paranormal sense. He received the cellphone from Kyle and he go through the message.

" I think your father just freeze your credit card sir " Kyle croaked.

Now it was Hayden's turn to be uneasy. He clenched his jaw tightly.

Father why?!!

" No way dad. I will never ever marry a beast " Isabella yell loudly to her dad.

She has her hands on her hips ready to argue.

I will be dead before i agreed to marry a beast . She thought silently to herself but her father was also adamant .

" You will do as i say young lady. Do you know how much MT site will grow after you married that so call beast. " Martin counter.

Isabella felt her eyebrows draw together as she heard her father.

" Do you mean to tell me this is all about your company ? "

Martin scoffed at her words " Do not forget you are the heiress to that company. You will marry that man and your engagement date is fixed "

Isabella frown deeply in annoyance. She knows her father won't hear none of her excuses so she choose to beg.

" Father please, you know about my nightmare. You know how mum was killed by a beast, i can't marry ... "

Her father cut in " keep your excuses to yourself. I won't buy into that "

Martin walk off leaving Isabella sad and scared.

She turned when she heard a footstep behind her only to see her step mother.

" Isabella " carol called softly reaching for the pretty young lady.

Isabella allow carol to held her for a moment before she gripped the woman hands suddenly.

" Mother please can you beg dad to cancel the engagement? I know he will listen to you " She begged but carol sigh sadly withdrawing her hands.

" Isabella dear, I don't think your father will listen this time. All you have to do is comply, The beast isn't so bad. I'm sure you know better " she said before walking off.

Isabella clenched her jaw.

She stare at the wall clock and sighed.

She raced to her room and quickly packed few of her clothes and other necessary things. She thrust her credit card in her hip pocket and She cautiously step out of the big house , into her car before driving away into the wet night.
