Chapter Seventy-Eight: Forget The Problem

Chapter Seventy-Eight: Forget The Problem

Samantha's POV

"What's the problem? Why did you suddenly disappear last night?" Windy asked me while we were both drinking. I shook my head and smiled. She really did notice that something was wrong with me.

"It's nothing. Diego was just asking me to go home. I'm sorry for not waiting for both of you," I lied. She nodded but kept looking at me.

"It's okay. You look pale. Are you sure you're okay?" she asked me. I gave her a genuine smile. I kept on drinking while she just watched me.

It's better that I'm here than seeing Diego in the condominium. It would only be awkward.

"Does Diego know you are here?" she asked. I shook my head and drank again. I don't know what he's doing right now. I've never checked my phone. Maybe he wouldn't think of calling me after what happened last night. He said it. I was just like a sister to him.

"No, he's busy. But don't worry, he won't get mad. He doesn't need to, by the way," I said and laughed bitterly.
