Creature

"Hosh ... Hosh ... Hosh ..." Come on. We have to keep running!" said a man with glasses. The man grasped the hand of a woman whose age was not much different from him.

"I am scared. It's very dark here and you can hardly see anything” said the woman in a trembling voice. Her hand tightly gripped the man's hand without the slightest intention to let go.

The two humans were trapped in a dark, old and abandoned building. With their worn clothes covered in dirt dust and torn parts of the clothes, they both looked so scared and exhausted as if something was chasing them. The faces of the two people were covered with sweat and dark gray dust. The heavy rain accompanied by thunderous lightning added to the gripping aura of the abandoned building.

"Yes I know Rin, but we still have to move, otherwise 'they' will find us soon. Let's go there!" said the man, pointing to a large room with a wooden door that looked rotten.

With a little force, the woman who was already looking tired followed the steps of the man. A few steps later they arrived in front of the door to the room that looked like a hall. The man peeked through the broken glass door. With his eyes wide open, the man looked around the room to make sure everything was all right.

"It seems safe, let's go into that room," said the man, inviting his female friend who looked so scared.

"Krettt ...." The man opened the door that was already rickety slowly. The two of them walked sneakily while looking to the right and left of the large and dark room. Only a few yellow light bulbs lit up the hall. The two humans of different sexes sat on a chair that was already thick with dust.

"Hmm, it looks like for the moment we are safe" said the man as he lay down on the chair.

“I, I didn't expect that we would experience something like this. What if we don't survive” said the woman with great fear. Hearing this, his male friend immediately grabbed the woman's shoulder with both hands.

"Do not talk like that. We must remain optimistic. We can definitely get through all of this" said the man trying to calm the woman. The woman was silent while slightly lowering her face. Both of them were silent for a while while resting their bodies from the extreme fatigue. They could still hear clearly their gasping breath. A few minutes later, the man rose from his seat and spoke to the woman.

"I'll try to find water for us to drink. You just wait here, okay?" said the man, staring at the woman's face.

“No, no! Do not leave me alone. What if 'they' came here ?! We better go together” said the woman with a tense face.

"It is okay now. You look so tired. You better just rest here. Besides, I won't be far away. As soon as I get water, I'll be right back here” said the man trying to convince the woman. The woman finally gave up, she gave up following the man's request.

“Fine then, but promise me, you will come back here as soon as possible. I don't want to linger alone in a place like this" said the woman slowly. The man nodded confidently. The man hurriedly stepped foot in search of a little water to release his thirst.

After being left alone by the man, the woman continued to look around the hall. Her feelings were mixed, unsettled, and sudden.

"Prang!" the sound of broken glass broke the silence that night. The woman was so surprised to hear the sound of broken glass which was not far from her.

"Who, who is it?" said the woman in a trembling tone. Immediately he got up from the chair where he sat. No answer was heard. The woman became more and more frightened and she slowly retreated to a corner of the hall.

"Tap tap tap..." heard the sound of footsteps getting closer. The woman immediately hid behind at one of the tables at the end of the hall.

"Krettt ..." the sound of the door from the hall suddenly sounded again. Someone or something had entered the hall. Slowly, the woman peeked from behind the table to see who had entered the hall. The woman could only see a pair of legs walking slowly and wobbling slightly.

"Oh no! "They" came in here!" muttered the woman to herself. Great fear enveloped the woman. Her body was shaking violently, cold sweat started pouring down his forehead. Covering her mouth with both hands, the woman tried to keep hiding under the table. Her tried her best not to make any sound.

"Tap tap tap ..." the sound of 'them' footsteps became more and more clear.

"Grrr .... Shhh .... Grrr ... Shhh ..." a terrible voice began to be heard in the large dark hall. The woman's heart was beating faster than ever as the sound of footsteps drew closer to her. The more clearly heard the woman, the sound of the breath from the creatures, so that the woman could clearly see the creature's legs that were standing right in front of her.

Tears started to trickle down the woman's cheeks, she wanted to scream out loud to let go of her fear but she held herself back with all her strength from doing so, because if she screamed it would be killing herself. The 'creature' continued to stand in front of him and sniffed with his nose like looking for something until finally slowly the 'creature' looked down and looked under the table where the woman was hiding.

"Arrchhh!" the woman screamed as hard as she could when the 'creature' looked at her with her pale face, she immediately came out of her hiding place and immediately ran away from the ‘creature’.

"Liza!" suddenly the man who accompanied him was already in the doorway of the hall. Rina, who was panicked and frightened, immediately turned her head towards the voice.

"Come on over here quickly!" shouted the man.

"Eren ..." said Rina slowly. Without thinking, Rina immediately walked towards the man. Just two steps running, suddenly Rina's shoulder was gripped firmly from behind by one of the 'creatures'.

"Aaaa!" Liza again shouted loudly. He tried to free himself from the creature's grip. Eren nimbly came over to Liza and hit the 'creature' in the face with the iron pipe he took earlier.

"Bugh!" The iron pipe hit the face of the 'creature' and it immediately released its grip from Liza's shoulder. Eren immediately grabbed Liza's hand and the two of them immediately ran towards the hall door, but before they got out of the hall, suddenly a bunch of 'creatures' had surrounded them.

"How, how is this ?! We're going to die here!" said Rina, crying. Eren didn't respond to Rina's words, he was still busy thinking about a way out of the hall. What will their fate be next? Will they survive the attack of the ‘creature’?
