THE SECRET GARDEN

Desolated and destroyed to nothing. The clicks of the hooves stopped. Nicholas stared in awe, he could see how happy this place was before the raid. He couldn't help but feel pity for Alisson's people.

"I'll make this right." He muttered.

Alisson could hear him but didn't know the exact words he said. "What do you say?" She asked.

Nicholas stared at her. "I said I'll make this right." He repeated himself.

"You didn't do this. You are not aware either. So, you're not at fault."

"My father did this."

"You're Nicholas and your father is Devon - I guess."

"Yes."

"Why don't you freshen up and have a good night's rest."

"Do you have a place we can freshen up?" Nicholas looked around, trying to find a suitable place that is soothing to freshen himself. "I don't see anywhere." He complained.

"The stream," Alisson's father pointed to a pathway that was leading to the stream.

"There." Nicholas pointed to the pathway just to be sure.

"Yes," Alisson's father replied.
