Avery's POV

Nahigra's face - pale - visible from the entrance of the door - why is it that the alpha never visited? SLOWLY, I walked towards her - slower than the tortoise obviously; I don't want to disturb her sleep.

Through the series of glaring errors I received from Danika yesterday, I don't want to go through another one today. With her back facing me, I'm not sure if she is sleeping or not, but let's consider that she is asleep. I sat down gently on the chair as I looked around.

Nothing has changed - Was I expecting something to change? Not really. After a few minutes, I started talking myself into leaving and coming back when she woke up, but that would be another round of tiptoeing and opening of the creaked door. Still and calm like the ocean, I decided to wait a little bit and hope she'd wake up.

One hour has gone by, and I have filled my thoughts with everything I can think of. Asking questions like where is Nicholas right now? What's he doing? Regret tapped me o
