ONE DAY IN A YEAR

Nicholas POV

Every time, we say we would do it tomorrow; Little did we know that tomorrow never comes. I was a boy with a loving mother and a carefree father. It has always been 'never say never. In the beginning when we were young and free and we had nothing disturbing our day. We just sleep, eat and do them all over again. But, now we aren't flying freely and when we fly over the sun we get burnt.

I sat down and watched the sunset going harmlessly on my skin. Another day is gone like that and I have hundreds of years to go. My mind wandered off to Avery once again - What is she doing now? I asked myself. I looked back to the best of our yesterdays and I saw the love and the fight. The only thing we didn't do was give up on ourselves.

If I was told I would be in love with a human, it would be a terrible lie. I don't trust her right now, she might turn her back on me anytime soon, but the love won't end and that's all that matters.
