One Hundred and twenty one

YESTERDAY IS GONE

Avery's POV

Time and chance happen to all. But, mine has never been in my favour. Time and chance are opposed to me in ways I cannot think of. Nicholas was the last person I would love to see at that moment. Will things get out of hand this time? Or will I get sent packing to Blessingstoke first thing in the morning? Jasmine is gone, yeah, that was the best thing he could do at the time - run. Nicholas knows people's faces just by staring at them. I hope he does not remember Jasmine's face and draw it as he did to Groots.

"Welcome, Nic." I acted as if nothing happened, and I'm sure as hell that he knows what occurred and he didn't hide that fact.

"Who was that man?" He asked me and I froze.

"You mean that man?" I pointed toward where Jasmine passed earlier.

"Don't call me stupid without calling me stupid, Avery." I felt the anger pressing on.

"I'm not. It is just a man I helped and that's all."

"Why did the man run when he saw me?" I was getting pushed to the corner.
