"...she lost the baby. She had a miscarriage." The doctor announced.

She had a miscarriage.

The words just kept repeating themselves in my head like a mantra. Our baby was gone. I didn't get the chance to show him how much I loved him. I didn't get the chance to hold him in my arms, feed him, buy things for him or even feel his movement.

"What!"

"What are you saying?"

"My poor baby!"

"This can't be!"

"Roshni is going to be devastated."

My parents, Roshni's parents and her friends kept on talking but I couldn't comprehend what they said next because my mind was clouded and thoughts, blocked.

"Unfortunately, she already miscarried the baby before she got here. We focused on saving her life because she almost lost it due to the severe bleeding. The child couldn't be saved, I'm sorry," the doctor said.

"Thanks doc," dad shook hands with him.

"Can... Can I see my daughter?" My mother in law asked in tears.

"Yes in few minutes. She st
