KABANATA 02

Ultear explained to her friend how good Ginno is especially to her son, Kajic. But her friend was always against on it and just smiled bitterly every time she will hear his name.

Ultear tried of enlightened Kylie by explaining how he helped her. She wanted to make her realized how good he is, but still, it is no used. And she was tired of doing it.

When Ultear tried to ask her what was her reason for hating Ginno? Kylie just zipped her lips and just shrugged it off. She just sighed, again and again. She does not know what she needs do to make her accept Ginno for her.

When their conversation ended, tuluyan na silang lumabas ng restroom at bumalik sa sariling mesa kung saan nila iniwan sina Vince. And the feeling she felt earlier ran through her body again. How could she throw it away to make her heart feels normal once again?

Ngunit hindi inaasahan ni Ultear ang lahat ng mga sumunod na nangyari. She gasped and covered her mouth. She couldn't think even think where the hell it happened.

Uncle Daddy!

Kajic voice echoed inside the restaurant. He hurriedly ran on Ginno's side who is lying on the floor. Sting was on top of him.

Sting punched his face, even though his face was fully covered in blood. He was still on his conscious however the strengths he had, were fully drained.

Buong lakas na hinila ni Kajic ang damit ni Sting upang itulak ito at ilayo kay Ginno. Ngunit ang lakas na mayroon ang kaniyang anak still not enough para magawa ang pinaplano nito. Vince did nothing either.

Tulad nang ginawa ni Sting kay Vince ay walang pag-aalinlangan na itinulak lang din ni Sting ang kaniyang anak. Kajic fell to the floor so hard.

"Sh*t!" Ultear cussed. Tumakbo siya para daluhin ang anak at tulungan itong bumangon.

If her son got a scratch on any part of his body, she wont forgive him.

Are you hurt, Kajic? she asked him with a worried voice.

She heard no response from Kajic. But he just stood up and grabbed Sting's suit, once again. But still, Sting wouldn't even budge.

I thought you are a good person, but you are not! You are an awful person, an evil one!

Kajic continued yelling and striking hard against him. It looks like all the blood on his body was jump on his face utterly.

How you dare hurt my Uncle Daddy! he added.

Ang inaasahan ni Ultear na muli nitong itutulak ang kaniyang anak ay nagkakamali siya. Sting stopped gave a punch on Ginno's face. He looked at Kajic powerless and accepted his arms punished which part of his body by Kajic.

I am sorry, Sting said with a miserable voice. I did not mean it.

Your sorry was not enough! You dared to lay your filthy hands with my Uncle Daddy. You are a monster, jerk! he yelled throughout his lungs.

Kajic, stop that! she said. She intervened between the two of them. She did her best not to make eye contact with him again.It's not a good manner she explained.

Even though she was mad at Sting because of what he did. She still did not like what his son was saying. 

He hurt my Uncle Daddy, Mommy! He needs to be punished, Kajic answered with a voice shudderingly. The desire etched on his small eyes. And his two small hands landed again on the man in front of him once more.

Nilingon niya si Sting na ngayon ay nakatayo na at hawak na ni Vince. Sa itsura ng mukha nito para ito pa ang nakaramdam ng sakit na dapat si Ginno lang ang nararamdaman.

"Kajic, let go outside. They need to settle these things!" singit ni Kylie at hinawakan si Kajic para gabayan ito palabas ng restaurant.

Mabuti na lang at walang tao maliban sa kanila. Sting's client, and also those restaurant staff. Kahit papaano ay hindi nakakahiya.

But we need to call an ambulance. My Uncle Daddy is hurt, and it is because of this evil man! he yelled and pushed her away. His finger directly pointed at Sting.

Ultear could see his dangerous eyes looked at him. Kajic is mad. 

Auntie Pretty, call the police as well! he added.

Kajic, stop that! She said again. It was the first time she saw Kajic mad at someone else, and this was because of Sting.

Ultear can take care of your Uncle Daddy, her friend said and kept his arms. 

But Kajic does not listen to Kylie and shook his head, unbelievable.

Lets go, Kajic. It is for adults only, she added.

Ultear looked at him with pleading a eyes and spoke. "Please..."

Binuhat na ni Kylie ang kaniya anak. Dahil kahit ano pa ang gawin pagmamakaawa niya kay Kajic, wala itong naririnig o pinapakinggan maliban sa galit na nararamdaman nito.

Ultear combed her hair using her fingers. Para bang nanonood lang siya sa isang pinikula sa nangyari kanina. Hindi niya alam kung ano ang gagawin o sasabihin niya after Kylie and Kajic leave them. 

She was speechless and can't say the words that wanted to come out from his mouth.

No one dares to spoke or explained what was going on. Vince was silent, and Sting leave them immediately.

After what happened, they took Ginno to the hospital. Ultear didn't even think about going home. She was planning to stay in the hospital and take care of Ginno. But Ginno told her it's okay and asked her to talk gently with Kajic about what happened, that he shouldn't acted like that because wrong. It amazed her, she thought Ginno will be angry to Sting because of what he did and talked hurtful words about Sting but he didn't.  

Gusto niyang kausapin si Vince about sa nangyari nang hinatid sila, but he's silent too and mad. Galit ito sa hindi niya malaman kadahilanan. Kahit si Kylie nang sinubukan niya na lingunin, nakita niya ang galit sa mga mata nito. She knew they were mad at Ginno not for the thing Sting did. She wanted to find out their reasons behinds this.

Galit man siya kay Sting pero siya ang isa sa mga taong mas nakakakilala rito. He was a kind person who could not try to hurt somebody if wala ang mga ito na ginawang mali sa binata. There was a reason behind all of this, and she is thirsty to know it.

Nilingon niya ang anak na nakatingin sa bintana. Kanina pa ito ganiyan mula nang nagbyahe sila patungo sa pinahiram na apartment sa kanila ni Vince. He was still silent as his eyes did not change, a dangerous one. He has been like that since then.

"Baby, can we talk?" she called him.

She failed to caught his attention. What you did before was not good.

He is not a good person as well, Mommy. He hurts my Uncle Daddy.Patuloy pa rin ang pagtitig nito sa labas na para bang may magic na darating si Ginno. He loved him so much, huh.

Even though he did a bad thing to Ginno. It does not mean you are in the right place to say those words. Always kept in your mind what I always remind you? If you made a fight against a mean person, you will end up being the bad one too. Come here, baby, she ordered him.

He looked at her and walked after her.

She massaged his fist gently. There is a right time you can use your fist.

My Uncle Daddy could not fight for himself. So, I am the one who needed to make a move. He told me if I wanted to do something what I think is right, do not hesitate to do it, he answered.Walang kahit na ano ang makikita sa mga mata nito maliban sa galit na nararamdaman para kay Sting.

It is still not enough. Ginno doesn't like what you did either."

But he pushed me away, Mommy! Look at my scratch. Inilapit pa nito sa kaniyang mukha ang brasong tinutukoy ng anak. It had a stain of blood.

You strucked him countless of times. It is still not enough. Do you want more, then? The look on his face changed. And you made yourself in between them, so wlhat if you get hurt too?

Kajic looked at the floor this time as his lips pouted. She was happy because her son understands what she was explaining. He realized all his wrong doings.

Even though he is a bad guy. You shouldn't involved yourself with anyone who's having a conflict. It is for adults only and you are just a kid. A kid like you should not meddle in their fight. Did you know how their quarrel began or who started it? What if Ginno was the first one who started it? Will you take his side?

Of course, because he is my Uncle Daddy!

Wrong answer. Ultear pinched his nose gently and looked at his eyes. Let us think about it. What if you and your best friend was inside the room

He cut her off.

I did not have a friend, Mommy.

She closed her eyes for a bit of time. I said, let's think about it. I am not saying you have one, baby.

He pouted once again.

Okay, another explanation. What about it. You and your Uncle Daddy are both inside the room. Ginno broke my jar accidentally, and when I talk to the two of you. You are just telling the truth while Ginno was not. She looked directly at Kajic's eyes and watched what he would react.  What if I only believed Ginno and I'll get mad at you. What will you do and how will you feel? Even though you didn't do anything and you're just being honest. But still, it's not enough reason to trust your words and believe you.

I will be mad. But Uncle Daddy is not that kind person. He is a good person, and he is always telling the truth, Kajic said confidently, I'm sure that the one who started the fight was the bad guy."

Okay, do you understand what I mean?

His head nodded aggressively.

But he still hurt my Uncle Daddy. I won't forgive him! he answered and looked out.

She sighed. Kapag talaga sa tingin ng kaniyang anak na tama at gusto nito ay hindi ito magdadalawang isip na ipaglaban kahit na tututol man siya. Ito na siguro ang bagay na namana ng anak niya kay Sting.

Several days had passed. Inilabas na rin sa hospital si Ginno.

Hindi mapigilan na hindi makaramdam ng awa ni Ultear kay Ginno nang makita ang kabuuan ng mukha nito. Maga ang kaliwang pisngi, mayroon din sugat sa labi, at nasira rin ang ngipin sa bagang nito.

Nakamarka sa mukha ni Ginno ang lihim na galit na mayroon si Sting para sa binata. And she thirsty heard it from Ginno, what was his reasons for did these horrible things.

Pinilit siya ni Ginno na bumalik sa mansion ng kaniyang daddy, but she refused. Alam pa rin naman ni Ultear na hanggang ngayon ay galit pa rin ang daddy niya sa kaniya. Kaya nga nagawa nitong itinakwil siya at ginawa ang bagay na iyon, ang itapon siya sa US.

Mga ilang araw na rin nang huli magkita si Ultear at ang kaniyang kaibigan, and that was the last time that happened.

Nahihiya naman siya na dumalaw sa bahay ni Vince dahil nga sa ilang beses niya nang sinubukan na tawagan ang kaibigan ngunit hindi iyon sinasagot ni Kylie.

Ang dami niyang gustong sabihin at itanong sa kaibigan. The first thing is, how was Nicholas? She was worried sick about her father, because his condition. Alam niyang sa edad ng kayang ama ay mayroon na itong iniindang sakit. Alam ni Ultear na mayroon pa rin balita si Kylie sa kaniyang daddy kaya gusto niyang malaman iyon kahit na sa kaunting impormasyon, and lastly about Sting. Paano nito nakamit ang ganoong buhay?

Ang akala ni Ultear ay hindi iyon maaabot ni Sting dahil nga sa mahirap lang ito at wala pantustos sa kaniyang sarili. To be honest, iyon lang ang alam niya tungkol sa binata nang ilang taon dahil na rin kay Kylie.

Sa tuwing nagkukuwento ito at binabanggit si Sting ay nagpapanggap lang siya na walang naririnig but deep inside masaya siya at kahit na ganoon ay nasa maayos itong kalagayan.

She remembered the day when Kylie was live on her social media account. Nasa loob ito nang bar kung saan sila laging nagpupunta at tumutugtog sina Vince. She heard his voice that made her heart raced once more.

Naputol ang kaniyang pag-iisip nang marinig ang boses ni Ginno.

"Be a good boy, big boy. Do not make Ultear get tired and mad," he remarked.

Ginno visited Kajic kahit na sinabihan niya na rito nang ilang beses na magpahinga muna or Ultear and Kajic can come up to his place if they had time. Ngunit para pa rin itong anak niya, a redundant big man.

He missed her son. But it is not that the real reason kung bakit patuloy itong dumadalaw rito kahit na kailangan pa ng katawan nito ang maraming pahinga. Tulad nga nang nasa isip niya before ay gusto lang ng binata na umalis sila sa bahay ni Vince with his own decisions and ideas. But her decision was final. She seems no problem with accepting her friend's offer to stay here.

But he gave her another choices.

Ginno said, maaari silang tumira sa mansion ng kaniyang ama or sa bahay kung saan namamalagi ngayon si Ginno. Ayos lang naman kung makikitira siya kasama ang kaniyang anak panandalian sa bahay nito. Ngunit sa tuwing maaalala niya ang mga matatalim na tingin ng mommy ni Ginno ay hindi na siya nagdadalawang isip pa na tanggihan iyon.

It's okay kung doon nga sila ng anak niya tumira at hindi na mag-aksaya pa ng lakas si Ginno na pumunta rito at para na rin maalagaan niya ang binata. Ngunit hindi maaalis ang takot niya na malaman at marinig mula sa mommy nito na pinabayaan niya lang si Ginno na bugbugin ni Sting. Hindi niya na kailangan pa na marinig ang mga salitang iyon sa ginang dahil alam at ramdam niya naman na iyon ang ibig sabihin nang titig nito sa kaniya.

Kajic agreed while then nodded his head with a smile curved on his lips.

Ginno turned his sight on her and spoke.

"I'll go ahead, Ultear!" he announced.

Ultear answered him as she nodded as well.  Pinagpatuloy niya lang ang ginagawa niyang paglilinis sa dinning kitchen.

Bumukas at sumara ang pinto hudyat na nakaalis na si Ginno. 

Panandalian niyang nilingon ang kaniyang anak upang malaman kung ano ba ang ginagawa nito. He was watching a cartoon movie while hugging a long pillow.
