Princess Ana Mae's POV;
I woke up to the sweet scent of fresh jasmines and was greeted by my mom's worried face. She seems exhausted, her eyes are swelling and her lips were not as pinkish as before. My mom looks so pale and it looks like she haven't slept for days.
"Sweety you're awake!" she screamed happily. There's a big smile plastered on her face.
"Mom, you don't look good," I commented. She sighed and kissed my forehead.
"I always look good when you're around my dear daughter," she said.
"Mom, how long I've been sleeping?" I asked her. The last thing I remembered was the snake's bite on my skin.
She smiled at me before answering, "It does not matter, what matters now is that you're finally awake! Finally the dark nights are over, the sun has finally risen for our family!"
"My princess." I saw my father running towards our direction with a happy face.
"Finally!" He hugged me as tight as he could and I felt safe in his arms.
"Dad, I missed you," I mumbled.
I don't know how long I slept but it feels so good to be back and feel my parent's love once again.
"What happened to Amira? Did you dismiss her already?" my mom asked dad. And it made me confused.
"Why dad? What happened?" I saw anger in my dad's eyes but there's this glimpse of sadness that he's trying to hide.
"Amira hired a snake hunter to catch a venomous snake to bite you," mom explained. My eyes widened and for a moment, I felt like I don't want to believe her. I know that Amira hates me but she's not capable of doing such things.
"Mom, are you sure about that? I mean, I know her hostility towards me but she's still my cousin. She can't harm me," I insisted.
"Unfortunately, she can. And her mom instead of punishing her daughter she dared to rebel against me!" dad said angrily.
"Aunt Anatalia? What happened to her dad?" Aunt Anatalia was never good to me. But she's still my aunt and I care for her.
"She's gone. She tried to attack me, luckily a palace guard shoot her on time before she could struck me with her sword. But Anatalia is still my sister, she's my one and only sister." Tears started to fall from dad's eyes. I know it's hard for him to lost his only sister. No one wishes to lost someone you love, but cruel situations will put you in difficult times. You will have to choose between your life or your loved ones. Especially when it includes greed for power.
"Dad, aunt Anatalia was so obsessed with power that it was too hard for her to realise her mistakes," I told him.
"Our daughter's right hon. Anatalia caused her end, not you," mom added.
Dad nodded his head and kissed both my mom and I's forehead.
"What happened to Amira dad?" After what happened to her mom, I'm pretty sure that she's suffering right now.
"She's demoted as a princess and I sent all her belongings to the charity," dad stated that made me shocked.
"Why dad? You don't have to do that. I will forgive him despite of what she did." My poor cousin, she's suffering because of me.
"Your aunt requested it before she died. She wants Amira to realise her mistakes. Don't worry sweety, this is just temporary," dad explained.
Greed definitely destroys a person, and will make you betray even your loved ones. I just hope that one day ,people will let love reign in their hearts instead of greed.
***************
The whole kingdom rejoices for my return. But I could not be as happy as them for I lost both my aunt and cousin.
"Your highness, are you okay?" Leana asked as soon as she returned from the palace garden to pick some roses.
"Yes, I'm fine. Just put those flowers on the vase and then you may take your leave," I ordered her.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I'm a hundred percent sure," I assured her with a smile.
She then did what I told her before she goes out of my room.
I stared blankly at my window and started to reminisce my past memories with my cousin Amira.
Some may think that I have the ugliest memories with her. But for me, those were the most beautiful memories of my life. Because back then, we were all together despite our arguments. She did not lose her mother and my dad did not lose his only sister.
Destiny played a painful and unforgettable game for our family. Something that will serve as a lesson for everyone. That we must not let jealousy and greed take over our hearts. Love should always reign in whatever situation or time you are in."Sweety, are you alright?" Mom stepped inside my room with a worried face.I turned around to face her and gave her a warm smile.
"I'm fine mom, it's just that-" I wasn't able to continue my words because mom cut me off."You are still blaming yourself for what happened to your aunt and cousin?" she asked and I nodded. No matter how much they tell me to stop blaming myself, still it won't changed the fact that it all started with me. My cousin is jealous with me causing her to be cruel and her mom to rebel as well.Mom moved closer to me and caressed my cheeks. "Listen my princess, what happened to them is the result of their wrong decisions. It has nothing to do with you. So please stop blaming yourself for their downfall," mom explained."But mom, I think I made them do those things." Tears started falling from my eyes and mom wiped them with her bare hands."No, you didn't! Never ever say that again. People commit mistakes because of too much greed and selfishness. That's why it is important to free our hearts from those things before it's too late. Because the consequences of wanting too much is unbearable," she told me with a smile. I smiled and hugged her. I'm really thankful that I have a mom like her. Despite being the crown princess she never taught me to be proud. Instead, she taught me to be nice and love everyone with all my heart. She also taught me not to look down on others no matter how homeless they are. Because it is my duty to protect them and give them home instead of mocking them. Mom is a very righteous queen and someday I want to be like her. A queen who loves her people and give beneficial advices to her king.
*Third Person's Pov*"Your highness, how will we face your father after failing our mission?" Steffan asked Zion worriedly before they enter the portal that will bring them back to the kingdom of Darkness. The prince expected that question from him. But he's eager to protect the woman he loves and he can't do anything to harm her."Steffan, my father and I are two different persons. I know how to value love, unlike him who only care about power," the prince stated.Steffan's eyes widened. His fears are slowly happening. He feared that the prince would fall inlove and that it would be hard for him to kill the princess. And now it had just happened. They failed on their mission because of love."Your highness, love is a weakness," he tried to explained. But the prince stared at him and smile."But for some people, love is their source of strength. And I'm one of the
*Third Person's Pov* (Kingdom of Darkness)Darkness surrounded Amira in her sleep. Her heart is in deep pain and her hunger for revenge grew bigger day by day. Her past became her nightmare a nightmare that never stops haunting her even when she's awake. She slowly opened her eyes and heaved three deep breathes to calm herself. Days had passed since the day she was throwned out of the palace. The palace where she grew up and where her darkest nightmare happened, the death of her mother."You're finally awake." The dark witch Avion stood infront of her with a poker face."What's wrong? Why are you standing there like an idiot?" she asked irritatedly. She don't hate Avion because she's one of the dark immortals who gave her a new home, and a new life as well."Our Lord wants to talk to you. He said it's urgent," Avion explained.Amira nodded
*Third Person's POV;* Princess Ana Mae decided to walk around her mother's flower garden and appreciate the beauty of the different kinds of flowers that were planted in it. Every morning she loves feeling the sweet scent of flowers in the air. It makes her feel happy and amazed at the same time. Her mom, the Queen is staring at her with teary eyes. She feels really nervous and she have no idea where to start on telling her the truth about her real identity. She wants her to know the truth but she's afraid of losing her. Ana Mae was their only daughter, she became the heart and joy of their kingdom. But she knows that they couldn't keep her forever. While she's having these thoughts she felt someone hugged her from behind. It was her husband trying to comfort her. "My queen, we both know that we have no choice but to deliver the truth to her. The Gods won't be pleased if we refused on their order. You know we have no power against them," her husband explained.
"The ember of love will be back to destroy the darkness and pave a way for the light to shine again!" Both the queen and king were still shock after hearing their daughter's words and the thing that bothers them the most is the dangerous and powerful aura that they have sensed from her. "Darling are you okay?" the queen asked her daughter nervously. The princess stared at her for a second before she spoke. "I'm fine mom. Just feeling a little dizzy," she answered using a cold tone. The queen and king stared at each other with curiosity shown on their faces. "Do you want to take a rest first?" the king asked but the princess just gave him a smile. "I'm fine dad, a little dizziness is nothing compared to what the mortal and heaven realm will experience if Velion will continue to live," she answered. "What did those red strings showed you?" the queen asked with curiosity. "Everything about my mission and my real identity." "You al
"My king, the chosen one is on her way back to the heaven realm," one of Velion's dark guards reported to him while he's having a sip of his red wine.An evil smirk formed in his lips. "Did she really think that it would be too easy for her to go back?" He let out an evil laugh. "Sorry to disappoint you my dear chosen one, but you would have to experience hell first!" Velion's laughter echoed his chambers and the dark guard shivered in fear just by hearing his evil laughter. "What are your plans my Lord?" the guard asked nervously."Send the dark troops to the portal. Let us prepare a warm welcome for Aphrodite's dearest daughter. Something that will make her regret being the chosen one in the first place!" Velion ordered."Yes my Lord! I will do it right away!" the guard answered before he hurriedly left to gather the dark forces."Zeus, my dear old friend sorry but I have to disappoint you! Farewell to your so-called chosen one!" Then he started laughing like a mad man.*********
"Wow! Gods are really amazing!" Diane exclaimed and they all chuckled."Yes we are," Hermes said proudly."But not as amazing as the chosen one," Leanna said pertaining to Ana Mae. "What's so special about being the chosen one?" Ana Mae asked them. Leanna and Hermes stared at each other for a second and a smile formed on their lips."You'll know everything when we get to the heaven realm. I'm pretty sure everyone's waiting for you," Hermes told her. "But how long will it take before we arrive there?" Diane asked."Patience your highness, we'll be there in a few seconds." Hermes then waved his hand and a ray of light appeared. And before they could utter a word, they found themselves in another garden but this time the flowers and trees were all made of gold and diamonds."Wow!" everyone screamed as their eyes sparkle like diamonds."Welcome to Heaven Realm, the home of the Gods and Goddesses!" Leanna said with a wide smile on her face."Your home is as beautiful as you Ana Mae,"
After a long night of longing Princess Ana decided to walk around the garden when she wakes up the next day.The flowers here are quite different from those growing in the garden of Citrine but they still give her the same feels. Ever since she was young, she enjoys the company of flowers so much. She felt relaxed whenever she's surrounded by them."Flowers always have a way to comfort a weary heart." She heard someone spoke behind her. She turned around to be met by a beautiful lady with long and curly hair. She's wearing a beautiful smile."Who are you?" She asked. She did not see her with the Gods when she and her friends arrived yesterday. The beautiful lady chuckled and as if on cue, the wind blows to her direction making her emerald green dress dance with her hair. The flowers seem to be dancing as well."Sorry for my rudeness, I am Persephone, your cousin." Ana Mae stared at her with wide eyes. She can't believe she's standing infront of the Goddess of Spring and that she's ta
(Princess Ana Mae's Pov;)After eating the delicious breakfast prepared by my mom, me and my friends headed to the training room for our training with aunt Athena."The battlefield is not a place to play around, it's a place were you would fight for your life and for your comrades. It is not a place where you could smell the sweet scent of flowers but the place covered with the smell of blood. You will not hear a bird's chirp but your ears will be covered by agonies and crys for help. It is a paradise for those who are strong but a living hell for those who are weak," Aunt Athena explained to us. She waved her hand and in a split second, we found ourselves dressed in golden armours."Wow! We're like heavenly soldiers! The one I saw on movies!" Diane exclaimed making Lyndon laugh."Here you go again with your movies," Lyndon mocked her."You idiot erotic Prince!" Diane glared at him while I just stared at them trying to hide my laughter."Focus on your training! Like I said earlier, th
