Summer’s POV

My head throbs. That’s what wakes me. I open my eyes and my vision is blurry. But I can’t rub them. Metal rubs against my skin. I blinked several times, trying to see what was going on. That is when I realize my hands are in cuffs, which are chained to a wall. “Alexis, are you okay?” She doesn’t answer me. Where am I? “Mommy?”

“Eden?”

“Mommy, I’m scared.” She cries. I can feel my breathing getting faster as this is bringing back memories of what happened 10 years ago. But Eden is here this time. If I freak out, she will freak out. I can’t let her know how terrified I really am.

“Baby, are you okay?” I said, trying to keep my voice steady. Internally, I am shaking.

“I can’t move and Charisma isn’t answering me.” She sobs. “It’s okay sweetheart, your dad’s will find us.”
