CHAPTER 5

Sofia's POV

It was finally Monday morning. I woke up a little early, got dressed in a red top and jeans shorts. I put on some makeup, perfectly winged eyeliner, little lip gloss.I let my hair down and wore some high heels. I made sure I looked my best, because I'm going to have to face both Zack and Jasmine today and I don't want to look like someone who has been upset about what happened at Michaels party.

And also I can't believe Noah kissed me, I mean I thought he hated me. He probably just kissed me to make me feel better about myself because I was heartbroken. But I've been thinking about the kiss more than I should, whenever I close my eyes I imagine the way his lips moved against mine. He's really a great kisser, with just one kiss he managed to make my mind to concentrate on the kiss rather than Zack and Jasmine.

I finished dressing up, packed my handbag and some books and went downstairs for breakfast before I leave for school.

"Good morning mi amor," my dad says as I joined him for breakfast.

"Good morning daddy, how was your night," I asked.

"It was great, how was yours?"

"Mine was fine too, Well daddy I've to go now I'll see you later," I gave him a kiss on his cheeks.

"Okay bye honey."

Zack was standing beside my locker. I debated whether to just go to class or to my locker. But I just went to my locker, I'll have to deal with Zack so why not now anyway.

"Sofia baby I'm really sorry about what you saw, I promise you I can explain please just listen to me."

"No Zack I have intention of listening to you and I know what I saw I don't need any explanation from you, just leave me alone."

"Sofia please listen to me, you know I love you and I wouldn't do anything to hurt you please just listen."

Just in time, the bell for first period rang. "Well Zack it's time for class so I really have to go now."

"Okay then I'll walk you to class, we will talk about this later."

He walked me class and then finally left when I was seated down.

Noah was sitting beside me as usual. I avoided glancing at him but I failed. He saw me looking at him and he put on his straight face and didn't look at me or smile, like he didn't kiss me just yesterday. So he's finally back to hating me. Well I'm glad we're back to normal, I hate his pity.

The morning went by swiftly and it was finally lunch time, I avoided both Jasmine and Zack during classes.

Paula and I went to the cafeteria together and sat down at our regular table. The guys were already there, Michael, Zack, Jake and even Noah.

Paula sat down beside Jake her boyfriend as usual and I sat down beside Zack as usual too. Leaving the seat reserved for Jasmine empty which is beside me and Paula. She was late for lunch today, probably trying to avoid confrontation with me but I was ready for her and waiting for her to join us.

We had started eating when Jasmine joined us holding her food tray, she was about to seat down beside me when I moved my bag to her chair.

"Sorry Jasmine but this seat is taken today," I said with a big fake smile. Everyone on the table was looking at me curiously to see if I was joking or serious.

"Sofi I'm so sorry for what happened please let me explain, I understand if you don't want me sitting beside you but please listen to me."

"Jasmine please don't flatter yourself I don't want any apologies from you but you still can't seat with us just move on to somewhere else."

Everyone was staring at me and Jasmine even Zack he was trying his best to avoid looking at me and Jasmine.

"Sofi I know you have every right to be angry but I am your best friend please just listen to what I have to say."

"Jasmine are you deaf of something I said you can't seat here so move along and don't make me say this again." I said again with a big fake smile.

"Okay Sofi I'm going but how come you forgive him and not me," she says pointing at Zack we're suppose to be best friends.

I didn't answer her I just watched as she walked away.

"Oh God that was intense," Michael says with a nervous look. "Did we miss something, what just happened and why are you two fighting." Paula asks.

I turned to Zack and said, "Zack why don't you enlighten them about what just happened or maybe tell them why me and Jasmine are fighting."

He looked frustrated but he answered by saying, "nothing really guys just some misunderstanding."

No one looked convinced on the table but they didn't push it again as we all ate in silence.

After lunch me and Paula walked to class together but she stopped to talk to me before class started.

"Sofi what's up with you and Jasmine, and please don't say nothing because something is clearly going on and I'm also your best friend and we tell each other everything please just tell me, I don't like it when you two are fighting."

I debated whether to tell her about Jasmine and Zack because I don't know if she knew about it and didn't say anything to me but I tell her anyway. "I saw Zack and Jasmine making out at Michael's party the other night."

"Oh my God." Paula exclaims with a surprised and disappointed look on her face which means she didn't know about it.

"I'm really sorry Sofi I can't believe Jasmine would do something like that, I mean we're suppose to be best friends and we don't betray each other like that."

I was about to comment when Mrs Willis came in for class.

I was trying my best to concentrate on the class when I received a message from Jasmine asking if she could talk to me after school which I ignored.

Zack also texted, which I ignored.

After school, Paula asked if we could talk about what happened again which I clearly declined by saying I'm not really in the mood to talk maybe we could talk about it later on, which she understood and told me if I change my mind I should call her.

I was walking to the car park, when I saw Irina Noah's sister she was waiting beside Noah's car probably for Noah.

I pretended not to see her and just walk by her because I don't want to argue with Noah again about how I'm going to spoil his little sister but Irina saw me and called out my name.

"Hey Sofia," she called out.

"Hi Irina," I answered smiling.

"Listen Sofia I'm sorry about the way my brother acted the other day, he's usually not like that I don't know what got into him, please don't be mad."

"It's really okay Irina and I'm not mad, it's not your fault he acted that way and besides I know how brothers can be annoying."

"Thanks for understanding," Irina says with a smile.

"It's okay so what are you doing outside, waiting for Noah?" I asked.

"Yeah he just finished with football practice."

"Well I should go, someone is waiting for me." I say with a smile.

I told Sonya immediately I got that I don't want to be disturbed, I was watching modern family when Sonya knocked on my door and entered.

"Miss Sofia Jasmine is here to see you, I told her you don't want to be disturbed but she still outside she said she won't leave until you talk to her."

"Sonya can't you just get rid of her, I'm sorry miss Sofia but I tried but she still won't leave."

"Okay bring her up to my room," I said with a sigh.

After some minutes Sonya came up with Jasmine. I told Sonya to leave us alone.

"Jasmine you have 5 minutes to tell me whatever you wanted to say and leave."

"Okay Sofia let me start by saying I'm really sorry about what you saw and it's not Zack's fault, I kissed him first but it's not what you think."

"Oh really please enlighten me because I'm not stupid and I know what saw."

"Okay so when I went to Texas for summer, something happened between me and this girl I met there." I eyed her suspiciously as she continued her story.

"So me and this girl her name was Amber we kind of had a sleepover and we kissed from kissing things escalated to having sex." I her eyed again and said "okay what has that got to do with me and Zack."

"When I came back from Texas, I was confused I wasn't sure if I was a lesbian because I liked what me and Amber did. And to make matters worse Amber didn't want to talk to me after what we did. The day of Michael's party my dad borrowed my laptop for some work thing and he found some porn. At first he thought I was watching just normal porn until he confiscated my laptop.

He saw the lesbian porn and got super mad he called me a dirty minded girl who has a problem and also said I will not be a lesbian under his roof and he threatened to send me to some catholic school for girls who have problems.

I was so sad and I didn't know what to do." Jasmine says explaining with teary eyes.

"Why didn't you tell me or Paula all this, we're suppose to be best friends and tell each other everything," I cut her off before she finished explaining.

"I'm sorry Sofi I didn't tell you but I was just so scared, that's why when I went to Michael's party I was keen on making out with any guy to see if I did have a problem like my dad said, so I was sitting in

Michael's room alone and Zack came to look for you, he saw I was crying and he tried to comfort me and me being a stupid girl started kissing him that's when you showed up. I'm so sorry Sofi please forgive me Jasmine said as she burst into tears."

"Oh Jasmine I'm sorry." I said to her as I pulled her into me for a hug, "I'm so sorry sweetie I haven't been a good friend too please forgive me."

"No Sofi I'm the one that should be sorry, I should have told you what was going on with me and I'm sorry about Zack."

"It's okay since now I know everything, Jasmine you shouldn't let your dad dictate how you live your life. You should talk to your mom and tell her everything maybe she can help and if you need anything Jasmine you know I'll always be here for you and promise me we will never fight again."

"I promise you we will never fight again Sofi. And now I have to go home or my dad will start calling."

"Okay you can go but honey you shouldn't be ashamed of who you are and always know I'm here for you."

"Okay Sofi," bye she said as she gave me a hug.
