CHAPTER 10

I walk inside with Noah walking behind me, I swear I could feel his eyes on my ass. When we get inside he follows me downstairs to the basement without a word.

"So how your date?" He asks when I turn around.

"It was good, I had fun."

His expression changes for a moment, he looked mad before he composes himself and says "So you're going out with him again?"

"No" I say.

"Why? I thought you had fun."

"Yeah I did but I'm not ready for a relationship right now and I wouldn't want to lead him on." I say.

He opens his mouth to say something and then he closes it. When he doesn't say anything I ask "How about you? How was your date?"

"It wasn't a date." He says.

"Oh really, I saw you having fun. You left early so it must have been good."

"Yeah Jessica is cool but we weren't on a date." He says smirking.

I don't say anything, I carry a bottle of opened vodka and I walk back upstairs.

I drop it on a table and walk to a mirror pulling my hair into a ponytail.

Noah comes behind me, standing so close I could feel his breath on my bare shoulders.

He stands right behind me watching me from the mirror. He moves closer to me pressing into my back.

"I'm glad you're not going out with him again." He says. I want to ask what that means but I don't know if I should, I just look at him through the mirror as I feel tingles all over the pit of my stomach.

When I don't say anything, he goes on to say. "I don't know what it is about you, you drive me insane. I think about you more I should and more than I want to."

I turn around around meeting his eyes, I want to ask why he doesn't want to think about and why he ignores me and if he likes me but he doesn't let me talk or say anything he does something I least expect him to.

He bends down and kisses me.

It's a peck at first then he goes on to kiss me deeply, grabbing my waist with two of his hands.

It's the best kiss of my life, he uses his tongue to get access into my mouth.

I opened my mouth just enough for him to suck on my bottom lip, a thrill ran through me at sound as I moan.

"Christ," he says breathing into my mouth looking deep into my eyes with so much want. I never knew wanting someone could be like this it's like I want every part of him. I have never felt this way before which scares me shitless.

He watches me process every single sensation and know at that moment he feels what I'm feeling, the want.

"Sofi!" Michael calls my name out.

I quickly pull away from him panting, I carry the vodka and walk outside. Noah walks out after me.

"What took you so long?" Jake asks and "why do you look like that?" Michael asks.

"No reason I'm just not feeling too good." I say giving the bottle and pouring myself some lemonade.

"You know vodka and lemonade sounds good, Paula says collecting the bottle and pouring it into her lemonade glass.

I thought you're never drinking babe?" Jake says to his girlfriend.

"Well never say never babe." she says kissing him.

I sit by the pool dipping my legs inside, Noah undresses and jumps inside. I have no idea what we are all talking about, all I can still think about is Noah. He pulls away from the group and comes to me.

"Can I see you later?" He asks.

"No." I say after a pause before quickly adding "My dad is getting back tonight, we're having dinner."

"Okay" he says, "tomorrow then?" He asks again.

"Yeah sure." I say.

He doesn't say anything more he goes back to swimming with the group and therefore goes back to ignoring me.

I move away too and go back to swimming and splashing water around with Michael.

An hour later everyone takes off, and my dad gets home around 6. We eat together as he tells me about his work trip and ofcourse he got me presents. New shoes and dresses from Paris. After dinner we watch cartoons together, I know I'm grown up but it's one of my favorite things to do with my dad.

"I hate Monday's" I say to Sonya as she wakes me up for the fifth time this morning. 

"Miss Sofia you have to wake up or you'll be late for school." Sonya says as she goes into my closet to get me clothes for today. I stand groggily and head into the bathroom.

I got to school a little late today but just in time before the bell rang.

I sat down beside Noah as usual, we didn't say anything to each other. I caught him looking at me from time to time and I smiled at him which he smiled back.

The day went on fast and it was already lunch time. I got there late again, everyone was there already.

"Hey," I say sitting down on the empty seat beside Zack.

"Hey" everyone says. "Hey babe," Zack says as usual.

Noah ignores me again, as usual it doesn't even faze me anymore.

We eat in silence mostly the guys talking about football and Michael and Paula arguing about something I wasn't quite paying attention to.

"Hey you're okay?" Jasmine asks noticing I've been quiet.

"Yeah I'm good, just a weird day can't wait to for the day to be over."

"I know what you mean, Mr Tony is stressing me out, we have a quiz tomorrow." She says.

Finally last period, I meet Irina waiting for me right outside my locker.

"Hey," she says grinning.

"Hey you," I say. "Someone looks happy today."

She grins again, "okay can't keep it in any longer. It involves a boy." She says as we walk outside.

"Okay, do tell." I say excitedly.

"Oh shoot, Noah is waiting. Uhnmm I'll tell you tomorrow." She says.

"Why don't you come over, now and Noah can pick you up later at my place."

"Yeah okay, let me call my mom first." She says dialing her phone.

"Okay she said yes, let me tell Noah and we can get going."

"So I'm not going home now" she says to Noah who is standing right outside his car.

"Why?" He asks.

"Going to Sofi's, she's helping me with something. Told mom already."

He looks from me to her clearly not convinced, he looks like he wants to say something but he keeps quiet.

"Okay" he says.

"Okay, can you pick me up later though." She asks as he enters his car.

"Yeah text me." He says driving off.

"Sorry about that," she says. "He usually not that weird or mean."

Irina adds as we enter my car and drive off.

"It's okay, he wasn't that mean." I say.

"Oh yeah he was, he was so different back in Miami totally cheerful and fun but then she hurt him." She says.

I want to ask what happened, who she is and how she hurt him but Irina changes the subject before I can and I'm not even sure I should ask.

"So what were you doing after school anyway?" She asks.

"Nothing probably just homework and  hanging out with my friends later." I say.

"I hope I won't be intruding" she says as we park and enter inside.

"Sonya I'm back," I say out loud.

"And No you won't be intruding," I say.

"Want anything to eat," Sonya asks joining us in the living room downstairs.

"Yeah I want tacos, I'm starving didn't eat much during lunch." I say.

"What about you," I ask Irina.

"Tacos is okay," she says.

"Okay let's go up to my room."

"Wow," Irina says entering my room. "This is so aesthetically the most beautiful room ever." She says referring to my room.

"I know right, I have a thing for good

decor." I say feeling proud of my room.

"Now I definitely have to see your closet, I know you have great things in there because have you seen the clothes you wear" she says removing her shoes.

We walk into my closet and she aww's again. "God Sofi you have so many things, it's two floors in here. How do you decide what to wear." She says. I just smile at that as she looks at things.

"So how you like it in L.A," I ask.

"Well I don't particularly miss Miami just my friends I don't know anyone here, we definitely needed the change though."

"You have friends, you have me" I say to her as she tries on shoes.

Sonya knocks and come in, "your food is ready." She says.

"Okay we'll be downstairs in a bit."

"So tell me about the boy." I say as we eat.

"Okay so I don't even know if he likes me but I like him. We were paired up together for a group project. He's just so beautiful." She says.

"What's his name." I ask.

"Reed Collins." She says blushing.

"I know Reed, that's Jakes little brother." I say.

"Yeah you know him?" She asks excitedly.

"Yeah I've known Reed since he was a baby, Jake is a childhood friend, Paula's boyfriend I explain again. He's cute, you two will look good together." I add.

"Do you know if he has a girlfriend," she asks.

"I'm not sure but he used to date Amy Phillips not sure if they're still together. I can find out though." I say.

"Thank you." she says grinning.

Noah decides to come at that moment. He finds us sitting in the kitchen table eating.

"You're here already?" Irina asks rolling her eyes.

"Yeah I'm going out with the guys later so I have to drop you home now."

She rolls her eyes at him. "Can't you say hi to Sofi atleast." she says.

"Hi" he says. "Now can we go." He says again.

"Okay Okay, let me get my bag from upstairs" she says leaving us alone.

He watches her go before he comes around to where I'm sitting.

"You coming out with us? He asks referring to him and the guys."

"Yeah, Michael is picking me up." I say.

"Okay" he says. Then he bends down and gently kisses me. He pulls away quickly when he hears someone coming.

Leaving me looking flushed.

Irina looks between us, she most have noticed the change in the atmosphere because she asks.

"What's going on? Was he being an ass, again."

"No it's nothing," I say.

She doesn't look convinced but she says let's go.

"I'll see tomorrow Sofi," Irina says to me.

"Yeah see you," I say.
