51. The Royal Wedding 5

The Prince led the procession by foot, while his children remained in the carriage. Meanwhile, Alfred was confused about his identify, when they got closer, and the Prince gave him a love smile when their eyes met. Soon, they were in the park, and everyone got down.

At the Court

From Irene's hiding place, she was able to catch sight of all that she needed to see from the wedding. Although she was not inside the registry's hall, but she heard all the laughter and clapping. The Registrar returned to his office after the marriage, and rested. After his lunch, he sent for her.

“I apologize for the change in schedule, Princess Churchill. Kindly take your seat,” the Registrar offered when she got into his office. He had never seen her looking so gloomy before.

“Thank you, Registrar,” she expressed and took her seat.

“May I know why you wish to see me,” he asked.
