The Honeymoon

Alfred could not believe that he was married to a Princess, and many questions remained in his mind. After they got into their room, he pulled her closer to himself, and cupped her face with his hands. Then they looked into each other's eyes, and he asked, “Mira, did I coerce you into loving me, or you love me from your heart?”

Mirabel laughed softly, and asked, “Did you ever coerce me? I'm not aware.”

He laughed too, and looked away briefly, before he looked into her eyes again. Meanwhile, he vacillated between confessing, or allowing things to remain a secret, and he responded, “I love you, and I am certain that you love me too.”

He kissed her forehead, and led her to the couch. He laid on his back, and she rested on his broad chest.

“I love you too, my heartbeat,” she whispered. She raised her head and gave him a quick kiss and inquired, “If I may ask, when did you start loving me?”

“The first time I saw you.”

“When was the first time? Was it when you were furious about your ruine
