April Greene glanced through the mirror and stared at her reflection. She was already dressed for another interview today. It was really difficult for her to get a job, it was not as if she was lacking, infact she had a perfect resume coupled with her good grades yet she had been unable to get a job. Despite having a perfect resume, she still got rejected. She looked at the bracelet on her hand before taking a deep breathe to prepare herself. She tied her hair into a ponytail, took her bag and left the house. The day was bright and clear. 'Maybe today is a good day for me.' She said to herself as she brought out her phone when she heard it ring. It was her best friend calling, she smiled as she picked the call. "Ready for today's interview?" Mandy asked. "Yes." She knew the reason Mandy called, to assure her that she would pass today's interview. "Do you remember what the fortune teller said yesterday? He said today was your lucky day so that means you will definitely get a job tod
The words the old woman said to her at the bus junction struck her that she was unable to concentrate during the interview. No matter how hard she tried to brush those thoughts off, she just couldn't stop thinking about it. What did she mean by the demon was coming to kill her? The man with red eyes? red eyes? April sighed loudly as she refused to believe the words the Granny said. Why on earth will the man with red eyes want to kill her? Why was he after her life? Her life was already a mess and now she had to deal with a fictional creature coming after her life. April laughed as she shook her head. "What a load of garbage!" She cussed. Was the Granny expecting her to believe those loads of garbage she spat out? Demons aren't real and she was so sure of it, they were just fictional creatures written in novels. She wouldn't fall for that old woman's lie. She looked at the time on her phone, it was time for her part time job. She would rather spend her time working herself to death th
April gasped and choked out a breath, it was as if she had been pulled out from drowning. She quickly surveyed her surroundings and kept blinking as she couldn't believe she was in her room, in her house! She touched her neck, what on earth happened to her? The last thing she remembered was that she was almost killed by an unknown man. Was it all a dream? She being strangled by an unknown man was all a dream? It felt so real, so real that April thought she was really going to die. She shook her in disbelief, still not convinced it was a dream, she got up from her bed and went to the mirror to look at her neck. There she saw bruises on her neck, she saw the mark of his fingers pierced through her skin. That only meant one thing, everything that happened last night wasn't a dream. It wasn't a dream! It wasn't a dream! Then if it wasn't a dream, who on earth was that man? What in the world was he? She remembered how sharp his fingers were, there were totally not the fingers of h
[ At The Choice Bar ] April was back to her part time job as a bartender. She pouted her lips as she remembered what her Mum said to her. "How could she tell her daughter to get married just because i couldn't get a job? That's too harsh." She whined. She served drinks to the customers and took new orders there she saw the quack fortune teller who had told her yesterday was her lucky day. Lucky day indeed, she was almost killed yesterday and still didn't get a job despite paying him two thousand dollar. Mandy forced her to pay the bill assuring her that she would really get the job. "My two hundred dollar, i must collect my money back." Forgetting that she had other customers to attend to, she marched forward to the fortune teller and grabbed him by his collar. "Hey, do you remember me? You told me yesterday was my lucky day, you lied to me. My two hundred dollar, give me back my money, you bastard!" The fortune teller pushed her. "Hey, don't try to blame me for your failure." He s
NOTE: The places written in this story are fictional. In a dark green mansion situated at the outskirt of crestfield city. Four blood sucking creatures stood at the dull looking living room, none of them ready to break the silence that had evolved the room. Damon looked at the window staring at nothing in particular. He kept a calm and composed manner but his mind were occupied with different thoughts, thoughts of that woman. "You almost killed her." Connor spoke finally breaking the silence. He glanced at Damon who didn't seem to care about what he had just said but before he could open his mouth to continue, Caesar cut in. "It would have been better if he killed her." Caesar blurted with his voice filled with so much irritation. "That woman deserved death, Damon should have finished her once and for all." He added before taking his seat. "But killing her wouldn't change anything. Since she got reincarnated as a human,i doubt she remember anything about her past life." Darren, th
"Margaux? Sins of the past?" She kept repeating his words as she tried to comprehend what he had just said but the more she thought of it, the more confused she was. Why did he call her a different name? What did he mean by the sins she committed in the past? She looked at the window to ask him what he meant by that but he had already left leaving her all alone in this cold room. How could he just leave after calling her a name she had never heard and talking about the sins she committed in the past? How could he just leave without telling her the reason why he was doing all these? April banged at the door again, hoping that the demon would show himself but he didn't, he didn't show up. She sighed loudly as she sat on the cold floor and cursed under her breathe already frustrated with everything going on. She wished all of these were a dream, she wished this was just a bad dream, a bad dream she desperately wanted to wake up from. ********Damon who had just finished speaking with A
Five hundred years ago, the witches were ruled by the vampires which made them inferior to the blood sucking creatures. They lived together with the vampires in grey city but they were treated as slaves. Things changed for them when a new king of the vampires was crowned. The witch queen at that time consulted the King and made a request for the king to give her people their independence which was later granted by the king. Thus, he gave the witches grey forest for them to reside. From that moment, grey forest had been the witches territory. Connor arrived grey forest at dusk. He stood at the entrance of grey forest, staring at the beautiful scenery in front of him. It had been a long time he had come to grey forest, now that he was here,he realised how much he had missed this place. 'No, you probably missed a particular person staying here the most.' His subconscious teased him. The witches guarding the entrance gate slightly bowed when they saw Connor. They were surprised to see on
A bucket of water was poured over April's head, it had jolted her awake so rudely and without warning that her entire face was still dripping from the cold water. April opened her eyes, she saw her hands and legs were chained and she wasn't in the store room, where she was looked like a dungeon, a dark cold dungeon. Shocked at receiving such treatment, she struggled to free herself from the chain but felt sharp thorns piercing through her skin. April whimpered in pain as she stared at the chains with sharp thorns used to chain her. "I'd advise you not to struggle to free yourself unless you want to get hurt." She heard his cold voice echoed in the dungeon as he took a seat watching her as she whimpered in pain. He seemed to find pleasure in seeing her in agony. "The next time you try to run away from me, your mum and your best friend, Mandy or whatever she calls herself would also be punished." April felt her knee weakened as she heard his threats. She knew this man was
[At Grey Forest ] Dana alongside Lemuel arrived the morgue to see the bodies that was found last night. The guards watching over the morgue bowed the moment they saw their Queen. They pushed the door open for her to enter. And as they entered the morgue, they met Penny the morgue-keeper. Her family had been watching over the morgue for ages, it was Penny's time to take over her family's job. She might look young but she knew things that even the elders doesn't, she had always been the smart one. Dana and Penny used to be friends while growing up, little Penny would always brag about how she would one day be the next morgue-keeper and her little self would be envious of her, that was before she was chosen to be the next Queen. After the oracle had chosen her to be the next Queen, they had a fall out and were no longer close like they used to, including Daisy who still accused her of stealing her dreams. Now that she thought about it, she wondered where Daisy is. Penny bowed at them a
Upon seeing April's bewildered expression, Margaux bursted into a convulsive, loud laughter. "What's with that look on your face?" She asked, her voice carrying a hint of mockery. "I thought by now, you should have known that i am you, and you are me." She added with a crook and insolent smile. April shook her head as she refused to believe the words Margaux had just said to her. "No. That can't be true." There was no way she was Margaux, there was... She strongly shook her head, no, she won't let those words get to her head. "I can never be you!" She said as she pushed Margaux away from her. With that, April woke up with a loud gasp as she almost choked out a breath. What sort of dream was that? She sat up and sighed as she moved the strand of her hair to the back of her ear thinking about the words Margaux said to her. "I am you, and you are me." She repeated those words as she sighed again. "This is so frustrating, why am i Margaux?" She shook her head as she stil
April found herself at Happy town, she looked around wondering how she got here. 'Is this a dream?' She asked herself as she could still vividly remember this place, where she was standing, it all happened here. She could see both adults and children hiding at the corner with their weapons, ready to attack anything that comes their way or maybe anyone. April knew what happened here, these people were going to get killed by her, the evil witch. What she saw at that black pot was repeating itself again in her dream, why? "The evil witch is here, run away!" They heard the shout of a man who was soon killed by Margaux. The little ones quivered at the sight of the evil witch while the adults drew out their weapons, ready to protect their loved ones from the infamous witch. Margaux approached them, deliberately dragging her sword and chanting some spells. She was ready to kill anyone that came her way, both adults and children. The adults bravely came out from thei
It had been so long since she last kissed him, it had been so long since she felt him this close to her. His kiss... his mouth, they taste so mindblowingly good. Lord, she missed him so much, she missed his scent, she missed his touch, his kiss, she missed everything about him. Connor gently nibbled on her bottom lip then hungrily glinded his tongue inside her mouth like a starved beast. His movements were savage, wild and consuming as though he was aiming to devour her whole, as though taking her breath was not enough. It was as if that earnest, deep and passionate desires he had for her had just been unleashed. He had longed for her, yearned for her and desperately wanted her back to him. Day by day, those feelings of longing consumed him, it was as if a part of him was missing, as if a part of him was incomplete but now, she was back to him. How badly he had missed her. Their kiss deepened and a shocking hunger exploded from within as Dana kissed him back as hard as she
[ At Grey Forest ] Dana stood beside the window side of her chamber blankly staring at the moon shimmering bright and giving beauty to the night. She could not even fall asleep knowing that the day to choose her spouse was coming, the full moon which was two days from now. She had tried to delay it but the elders kept insisting and it worried her people that she had no spouse at her age as it was their belief that a Queen ought to have a spouse whom she can rely on. If she tried to delay it again, her people might get wary of her and that was the last thing Dana ever wanted to happen. She had to prove to them that she was capable of ruling them and as a leader, she had to obey the customs and traditions. Dana sighed as there was nothing she could do to avoid the marriage. In two days time, a competition will be held among the young witches in Grey forest and the winner will be chosen as her spouse. The elders had already picked the candidates they think are eligible t
The thought that she might really be the one who hurt Damon and killed those people frightened her, they frightened her to her bones that she could never bring herself to accept his claim that she was the evil Margaux. Deep down, she wished she could just prove to him that she was different from the Margaux he knew in the past, she was different from the lady who caused him pain, she was different from the witch who committed many evil deeds. She also wished he would see her differently, not as the evil witch's reincarnation but as herself, as April Greene but would that ever happen? "What are you staring at?" Damon spoke in his usual unfriendly manner as he let go of her hand. "Let's go." He turned and left. April took a glance at the room one last time before she followed the demon and as she got to the living room, she heard him speak. "Don't look at the walls." "Why?" She inquired as she tried her best not to look at the walls like he said. "You could e
The twinkling stars and the dazzling full moon gave beauty to the dark sky. The cold wind blew like it was quarrelling with earth and the snow fell like rainfall but the moment the snow reached the ground, it turned scarlet as the land had turned into a pool of blood overlaid with dead bodies. On that beautiful night was heard clashing of swords and cries of anguish as more lifeless bodies fall to the ground, killed with no mercy. It was as though death had visited the normally peaceful town, and the oh-so beautiful night had become an unpleasantly horrific sight. At the center of these lifeless bodies, stood a young lady wearing a black cloak. The tip of her long black cloak was soaked with blood as she aggressively pulled out her sword from the last person she had just killed. It was evident that those dead bodies were single-handedly killed by her. The cold wind blew away her hoodie revealing her red curly hair. She slowly turned her head and with the look in her eyes, it was
The reason. . . . The reason why Margaux committed those evil deeds was to take revenge on those who killed her father, however, April could not understand why she had to destroy this town. According to Damon, this town was the only town who accepted her when she was rejected by her own people so why then did she destroy the town? Was that how much she had resented Damon? "Scared?" Damon questioned upon seeing that she had not moved an inch from where she was standing and how she looked lost in thoughts. Distracted from her thoughts, April slightly shook her head. "No." She answered as she looked at her hands which were still slightly trembling. Damon walked towards the entrance of the hut, he turned and looked at April, gesturing for her to come. She obediently came closer to where he was but the moment the demon opened the door and stepped into the hut, April involuntarily retracted. She did not even know how it happened but her body subconsciously stepped back and h
Damon turned and looked at her but his gaze shifted to her trembling hands, he could see how anxious and scared she was. "We are at your home." He replied, his gaze still fixed on her trembling hands. "M..m..my home?" "Yes, your home." Came his reply as he moved his gaze to her dumbstrucked face. "This was where you lived three hundred years ago, Margaux." April let out a low sigh as she hid her trembling hands from him. Now she understood why the demon had brought her here, he had brought her to where Margaux lived three hundred years ago so she could regain those said hidden memories of the past. She let out another sigh realising that she was probably scared for nothing, she was so sure she was not Margaux so there was no reason for her to feel this way, there was no reason for her to feel scared or guilty when she had not done anything wrong but her hands would not stop trembling no matter how hard she had tried to calm herself, she cussed inaudibly as she clenched her
