I wanted to pity myself. I really did. But I couldn’t.

The conversation with Eden reminded me of so many things, of how emotionless and clueless I was when I first approached her, I understood the strength of that girl.

Maybe it was foolish of me or I had completely lost my goddamn mind, but as soon as I left her behind, I went to look for my mate. I knew he didn’t want to see me, but he would have to - for the last time.

I stormed through the packhouse, following the scent I had grown to love and hate until I reached a door and stopped in front of it. I took a few deeper breaths, relishing the scent that was about to become just a memory within a few minutes.

“A few words, Titus, just a few words and your soul is free. Give him what he wants, he deserves it,” I muttered to myself.

I had never been the best person when it came to encouraging someone, but clearly my words had helped Eden when she was at her rock bottom, so they had to help me too.
