89. "Zoe's End"

Martin took care of Zoe for many years. Because she's his friend, and he's guilty of injuring her leg when they were young.

However, all emotions and empathy were forgotten at the moment Martin found out the truth.

"Zoe," Martin called her name in the most bitter way possible.

Of course, Zoe wasn't dense enough to notice that. She began trembling at Martin's sight and at the fear that his large hands would strangle her neck.

So, she acted like a weak lamb. Just like what she always did in the past.

"M-Martin. I am so scared. Everyone is accusing me of things I didn't do. I swear I was framed. Ahh! My legs hurt so much." She winced and held her leg.

With teary eyes, she looked at Martin and begged.

"Please. You are the only one who can help me. We've been friends for too long. Don't tell me that you believe them."

Martin took the seat across from Zoe. All of a sudden, a laugh burst out of his mouth.

Zoe tilted her head, confused.

"I went to the hospital where you had your leg checked.
