97. "Let Me Go"

Vic was tired of crying as she was in embraced of Sabby’s arms. But she felt most comfortable in this way.

With saggy eyes, she looked at the woman who treated her as her own.

“So, you are saying that you are only borrowing my daughter’s body. And that you will leave soon, is that so?” Sabby asked her while tapping her back.

Vic nodded her head.

Hearing that means that Sabby will reunite with Victoria in the future. However, she was also sad to let Vic go.

“Can I ask you some questions?” Vic asked.

“Whatever it is, dear.”

“How could you accept me this easily? Aren’t you mad at me, mom?”

Sabby gave her a faint smile and caressed her hair. “I was shocked, not mad.”

If Sabby could add more, she wanted to tell her that she reminded her of her dead daughter. Rica was as polite and gentle as Vic. So, she really treated her as her own.
