"Why did you come here? Aren't you happy with her? No one bothers you anymore," Amber snapped as she walked out the door. Her red eyes looked so withered and sad. Even though she forced her eyelids to rise higher, her anger did not seem real to Adam.
"I miss you, Precious, miss you so much." Without thinking, the man reached out his hand. He could not wait to hug his wife.
However, before Adam's fingers reached her skinny arm, Amber stepped back. "Don't touch me! I don't want to be soiled by your despicable hands."
Adam's eyes instantly dimmed again. His smile broke with a sigh of disappointment. "Why did you say that? You still can't believe I didn't touch that sly woman?"
"No one will believe it, especially since I have seen the mark on your neck."
