"What do you mean with fail?” a man from across the phone replied. His voice sounded a little panicked and annoyed.
"I've managed to get his wife to leave. But now, Adam is also gone. I am alone in this forest. Quickly send someone here!” Ruby explained as she dragged her suitcase and coat back to the cottage.
Instead of being angry, Edward laughed. His amusement made Ruby's blood boil even more.
"Don't laugh at me! I told you this plan won't work. Adam doesn't love me anymore. It's a waste of me humiliating myself if the result is like this.”
