Chapter 26

Sarah’s POV

"I'm done." I put the spoon I was using on the table and then pushed my body to get up from there. I looked at Ethan, who was still quietly enjoying his breakfast, looking like he wanted to be there longer.

I watched him for a few moments hesitantly. Wondering if he was going to drop me off or if I should go alone. I glanced again at the small circular clock in my hand, which made me even more urgent. "I have to go now, Ethan. Enjoy your breakfast." I prepared to leave with my laptop bag that I had placed on the table.

"I'll drive you." He made me stop my steps and turn to look at him silently. He cleared the corner of his aunt and got up from there. "What's wrong with surviving your breakfast?" He glanced at me while shaking his head lightly.

Thanks to him, I scrunched my eyes strangely and walked behind him, following him into the car. My feet couldn't stop tapping anxiously during the trip because my mind was elsewhere. I was worried that my delay would become a proble
