Chapter 162: Release him

Summer’s Point of View

“Where are we?” I asked Matteo.

He took me along to this undisclosed destination. There were an excessive number of discarded metals, trucks, and sundry items. In lieu of answering, he forcefully pulled me into a place shrouded in darkness. Then, I felt a fabric covering my eyes.

“What is this?!” I urged again.

“Stop asking. Didn’t you want to see your husband?”

His words jolted me, causing me to stand up straight. Without warning, he vigorously grabbed my arm again. Shortly thereafter, I sensed a pair of hands providing assistance as I rose, only to realize we were aboard a yacht. I held my tongue and patiently waited for us to reach our destination.

I had absolutely no idea how many hours we had been traveling, but when the yacht came to a stop, all I wanted was to remove the blindfold, run to Steven, and find him. Nonetheless, before I had the chance, Matteo promptly grabbed my arm and yanked me along once more.
