Before Teddy could speak, Beta Paul said, "No, Charlotte. You cannot divorce the Alpha. You're the Luna of this pack, and what you have to do is apologize to Teddy and prove to him that you're sorry for your mistakes in being with Jack. All of this won’t be happening, and I'm certain Alpha Teddy will forgive you and gladly accept you back."

Charlotte looked at Teddy's face and shook her head in disapproval. She was ready to take the whip; if not for her father showing up to stop the guard, she would have endured it. She was willing to go through any amount of torture, but she would never accept Alpha Teddy as her husband or mate again.

If only her father were aware of all the hardships she had to endure in the name of marriage.

Without giving her father's proposal a second thought, Charlotte voiced, "No, Father! I cannot accept Alpha Teddy as my husband. I do not want him, and I cannot be his Luna or this pack's Luna anymore. Anne is Teddy's mate, so he should crown her his Luna."
