49- What's wrong with you?

"Hello, Mom," Charlotte spoke to her mother on the call as she moved to take her seat on the bed in her room while her maids walked into the room and set up her dinner on a small table there.

"Charlotte, how are you doing now? I hope you haven't revealed anything yet to your husband?" Lady Harper inquired. She was in her room at home while her husband had gone to work and was not yet back.

"No, Mom, I haven't. I just decided to phone you and let you know my phone is working, in case I need anything from you. As you know, I cannot be free to move around," Charlotte said. Her mother replied, "There's no problem with that. Just take good care of yourself for me."

"Sure, Mom, I will. Goodbye," Charlotte replied as she ended the phone call and looked at the two maids who were done setting up her lunch on the table in her room.

"Thank you," Charlotte said to them. She stood up from her bed and moved to the chair to take her seat. She wondered why Teddy hadn't come into her room to disturb h
