Chapter 88

Scarlet POV

We took the kids into the kitchen and sat them down. It didn’t look like they had a proper meal in days but they needed to be eased into food again. Grabbing some water and yogurt, I placed it in front of each kid. Then I grabbed the half sandwiches that were left over and brought them to the kids to eat. They hungerly devoured the food till they couldn’t eat anymore.

“Thank you.” Tommy said. He had a little bit of mayo on his cheek. Laughing, I handed him a napkin which he took and used.

“You are very welcome, now it is time to shower and get cleaned up!” I said. They all followed me to a guest room that I had set up for them. There were seven different beddings placed in the room so they could all stay together. I figured they would be more comfortable this way. Each bedding was a small pile of clothing for each kid. “One at a time may get their clothes and shower.”
