Chapter Fifty two

I moved away from him and got to the closet to change out of my clothes. I walked out in a towel and saw Damien reading a book. He looked at me and returned to his book. I got to the bathroom and laid on the bathtub. I tried to cool my head.

My temperature was hot, my heart couldn't stop beating fast. Memories of the night with Andy flashed through my head. The picture of Damien with a gun and how he almost shot Andy. Chole's voice played in my head almost immediately. “.... Daddy beats up bad guys".

I stayed too long in the tub and I got a slight fever, immediately I got out. I met Damien standing by the door with a frowned face. I couldn't look at him in face. I walked out of the closet dressed in a full pajamas. I was walking out of the room when Damien stopped me. “How are you feeling Irene?" His words brought warmth.

" Fine”. I answered swiftly and tried to turn away immediately from the conversation. Damien walked towards me and examined my entire body
