Chapter Fifty one

I got back to the apartment and locked myself in the shower. I thought about everything Jerry had said and the thought of how Damien would skin me alive if he found out I killed the mother of his cub. Fear caused goosebumps all over my body.

I wanted Damien and I didn't mind taking risks. I waited till the weekend again and this time I walked to her directly. She was sitting at the park with Damien's cub. “Be careful Chole," she yelled from the bench. I sat next to her and called her name boldly. " Good day Mrs Damien “ . She looked at me without emotions and as soon as she recognized me, she adjusted far from me.

" Excuse me! Have you been stalking me? What do you want?" She asked, totally pissed off. I smiled softly and looked away towards the children and called her attention to them. " You see those children Irene, they are free, happy, and unbothered! This is because they have parents to worry about for them” I said coldly.
