Chapter Fifty nine

As soon as Chole left to play with her dolls, I noticed it was passed 7pm already. Chole and I had watched cartoons to pass time. I freshened up and called the maids for dinner as my stomach rumbled. I picked my phone and called Damien. Since our conversation at the study, I haven't seen him.

I knew he needed time to put his emotions together after having to trigger his painful memories. “Hello" His voice sounded so sexy over the phone. “Are you there?" He asked, after waiting for my response. I quickly cleared my throat and responded “Yea… .I just wanted to hear from you. How are you? Where are you?” I threw many questions at him at the same time. Damien hissed softly scolding me.

" You worry too much Miss!. I am downstairs having dinner with Chole. She just got here with the maid. I am fine". After hearing this, I hung up. It was still very awkward for me to face Damien after accusing him wrongly. I had misjudged Damien and I felt guilty for doing so. " Agnes”, I hissed
