Gavriel's POV 

"It's just an accident, that's all, Mr Donovan," the chief of police said, a weary look on his face.  

I'd worked his ass off all through the day. The text from Victoria was engraved on my brain.  

Her gift. Had the crazy woman blown up my building?  After I had received her text, I pressed the chief into investigating the explosion further. I knew he and his men were ready to write it off as some rich businessman's negligence.   

And if it was, I would accept it.  

But the last thing I was was negligent. I had taken every possible step to make sure nothing like this happened.  

Someone had tried to sabotage me. The man sitting before me didn't seem to think so.
