Chapter 4

Before the call even connected, Harrison anxiously stepped out of the apartment and glowered at me with such rage that his face looked contorted.

"Vivian, if you keep causing a fuss like this, there won't be any turning back!"

Eyeing him and his repulsive demeanor in contempt, I started wondering why I'd been blind enough to fall for a guy like him.

When he saw that I was ignoring him, he hastily grabbed my phone and tossed it onto the ground, stomping on it for good measure.

Perhaps I'd kept my emotions pent up for too long. Though usually calm, I exploded in anger. I didn't bother wasting my breath on him. Instead, I raised my bag to smash him in the head.

Harrison dodged the attack, and the bag made a loud thump as it crashed against the wall. Terrified, he fled at once. Once he got to the elevator, he turned around and wagged his finger at me in outrage.

"Just you wait, Vivian! I'll get the property management to chase you out of here!"
