Chapter 7

Ever since I switched to the new office, Harrison no longer showed up in front of me. He still texted me every day, but I always sent him the same reply.

"When can you return my apartment to me?"

I only chose not to blacklist his number so that he could let me know when he was ready to move out of my apartment. However, he avoided answering me.

I wasn't in a rush. I'd already hired a lawyer, so I wasn't afraid that he would refuse to move out.

One day, Harrison texted me to ask what Mom liked eating. Mystified, I couldn't even be bothered to respond.

That night, he told me he wanted to discuss returning the apartment to me. He invited me out to a café in the neighborhood and even told me he had a surprise for me.

All I cared about was the apartment. I wasn't keen on having coffee with him, so I replied, "That won't be necessary. I'll come over right now. Whatever you have to say, you can do it in the apartment."
