The night had only begun when the sound of wolves howling aroused under the light of the full moon, the loud howling rose from deep within the forest near the edge of town where the leader lived, the thick trees concealed the other part of human reality of another kind existing with them. Every one of their kind shifted and ran along with their leader to the top of the sacred hill, the hill where the first of their kind was given birth to through a human couple.
The child was a sacrifice to the greater gods for the sake of humanity when the moon goddess took pity on the soul of the innocent one and made the strongest of all so that no one could ever trample over her special children ever again. That night was the birth of the first lycan to ever exist and every year on his birthday the wolves gather around the hill to show their gratitude to the goddess.
Loud howling deafened the ears of the ones that had been awake in the middle of the night, the full moon was a time of the year when mothers put their kids to bed early so they couldn't hear the chilling song of the wolves. This was also the day that the locals believed would bring them good fortune if the folktales and legends were true. White bridge was the hub of supernatural activities for centuries before the humans decided to rebel against the monarchy of the people who had the powers to shapeshift and control them.
The downfall had been great when the wolves shook hands with the witches and gave them land to form covens so they could live happily. The two species fought together and claimed dominance on the humans but when the monarchy broke and the kingdom was divided into packs the lycans took over the capital becoming the heads of the government.
As the ceremonies continued on the hill the man living in the town shuffled in his bed in distress, his eyebrows furrowed and cold beads of sweat lined his forehead as he shook his head to shake the images of her innocent face away from his memory. The sound of her asking for another chance, a chance to explain herself, rang in his ears making him jolt awake from his sleep, the sound of his family celebrating their heritage made his heart race even more than he had thought it could.
Shaking his head scott took in deep breaths to calm his raging heart down, if all had gone as it should've have he would have still been the alpha of his pack, leading his people to the hill with his luna, but hope was all he could do for this was the very night she ripped her heart out in front of the goddess, crying for him to take her back. Trying her best to explain it all to him but instead of exchanging their vows on that hill Amelia had taken her life, that night the worst storm had hit them causing chaos, destroying houses, crops, businesses and so much more. His father did not take any longer to strip him off of title and banish him from ever entering pack lands ever, now he was a symbol of bad luck, a cursed wolf to live on his own in a slow, agonizing and lonely world.
Sweat rolled off his body as shivers took over his nerves, what was a man without his true identity? Nothing. That's what he was in his neighborhood, from being the man people bowed down to he had become they avoided at all cost, taking in a long breath scott found himself staring at the house across from his, it had been empty ever since he could remember and now two girls had moved in out of the blue.
There was a shift in the air this morning and it troubled Scott to not know why, his wolf, Zeus, was restless for some reason and he made his current situation way worse than he had thought.
“What's wrong with you?”
“I…. i feel bothered today scott”
“What's that supposed to mean?”
“I don't know but something is about to happen”
He didn't surface after that, the last time Zeus felt something other than fury was either when Amelia left them or when he was banished and Zeus getting restless now was frightening for scott.
The wind picked up his pace and he saw the moon getting covered by a mass of thick clouds, this wasn't right, if the moon didn't shine tonight the wolves would be misguided, the darkness of the full moon was lethal for wolves drunk on the high of their powers. His own heart was raging as the darkness took over the light that was the brightest of all.
“What is this?” he grumbled under his breath and pulled his shirt over his head, the fabric falling over his frame as he moved swiftly around his house and left through the front door. He was about to leave after locking his door when he caught movement from the corner of his eyes.
Scott tilted his head back and tried to make out the features of the figure standing in the window of the top floor bedroom, his eye met with the girls, who was standing there but before he could see what she looked like, the wind picked up its pace and the curtain came in between them. He didn't know why but the moment his eyes landed on the person his heart picked up its pace. Zeus was going crazy in his head with his loud howling making him clutch his head and run out of sight of whoever was there. He could feel eyes following him till he was out of sight and he wondered who that person might have been to make him this nervous.

The night was falling and sarah was growing restless, willow had brought her dinner upstairs for her and the eighteen year old had been acting weird but she had always been like this, willow had hidden one of the wooden spikes under sarah's bed remembering how noona used to do the same for the both of them, she didn't know if it had any significance but willow was ready to do anything to make sarah feel better.
her heart had been in her throat as she walked down the long hallway to her room, then it all started. Willow jumped as the loud howling of wolves rang in the area, as if a whole pack had gathered outside her house and had started howling. She stopped a few meters away from the huge window to see the biggest moon she had ever witnessed in her whole life. It was as if the moon was a foot away from earth.
Sarah opened her eyes listening to the haunting sound of the wolves, her eyes went to her window that overlooked the front yard, it was so bright outside that she couldn't resist to check it out for herself what the source of this light was and when she stood before her window to witness the beautiful moon her raging heart calmed down, the pain in her limbs calmed down and the excessive sweating stopped gradually, it was as if the light bathing her helped her pain, her mind and her body both were at a rest when she spotted a man leaving the house across from hers, for a moment their eyes met when the man lifted his head and her heart did a somersault. She could only see his form as the wind got wilder and the curtains started swaying right in her face, by the time she had moved the curtain away from her face he was gone and something inside her told her to be disappointed. Sarah shivered as another wave of howls ruled the silence of the night, the sound made goosebumps raise on her arms and a wave of anger rushed through her; she didn't know why but she felt annoyed without a reason and when nothing got settled she walked out of her room.
Pacing in the corridor did nothing for her when she came to a halt in front of Willow's bedroom door, she could hear things moving and something that sounded like painful groaning coming from inside and Sarah hurried inside. Her heart nearly stopped at the sight of broken things and Willow's body curled up on the floor.
“Willow” Sarah yelled, patting her cheek but her skin was burning.“The ride to the hospital was agonizing as she kept rubbing wilos hands and telling the ambulance driver to hurry, she wasn't waking up and sarah could swear willows body temperature was going up with every second. Sarah was pacing the small space beside willows bed while on the other side the doctor checked up on her, he noted things down and turned towards sarah. “I can't say what exactly has happened to her before running some tests, here the list. A nurse will be here soon.”After hours of keeping willow under observation the doctor finally gave his verdict. “There's no such sign that might help us diagnose what's wrong with her, has everything been okay in your life?” the old man asked as they settled down in his office. “We moved houses” Sarah informed him and he nodded. “Maybe the change is a bit drastic for her, stress maybe. We'll keep her here till she's good to go home” he said, making Sarah nod her he
Scott couldn't move from his place for the next few minutes, the staff was finishing their work and the girl who had been a free seconds away from biting his head off was standing at the door waiting to lock up. He looked back at the scarf that had been lying on the table a shade darker than its original peach hue because of the water. His heart had been pounding ever since he had seen her coming out of his family healer's home. Fallon Johnson had been the town's oldest and most powerful witch to exist. When the wolves and witches joined hands they had to put their hatred for one another aside but he knew the old and traditional witch never really let go of the age old grudge that started centuries ago. Everyone in their life faces a night where no matter what they do they just can't sleep, they can't close their eyes and feel the darkness around them but only see the glimpse of the times that they had taken for granted. Scott was in a much similar situation when all he could see around him was the bright and full moon shining its light on them as the woman before him smiled brightly, her hair playing along the soft caress of the wind that touched her skin ever so gently. There was something about the moment that made his eyes moist, maybe because that was the last time she was ever smiling for him before he ruined the full moon for her, before he ruined this beautiful night for her, before he rejected her. “Amelia” he whispered, the peace of the night conveying his broken plea across the breeze to her. She turned around, her eyes gleaming with so much joy that he wondered how one can be so carefree after what they had done to their mate. “How?” he asked as he felt his throat tigh
Sirens were blaring and the sound of people screaming, everything was just a ringing in her ear as she witnessed the paramedics carry away her dead parents. She had been sleeping with her sister when it all had happened, the sound of the first gun shot had woken Willow up while Sarah slept under the influence of the pills she had stolen from her mom's stash. Willow's crying had woken her up; Sarah could barely pull herself up when the police burst into their house the moment another shot rang in the house and Sarah found herself being pushed to the ground by the officers as they rushed to take over the scene. It was as if her world had fallen on her shoulders, her half awake brain was screaming at her to wake up but before she could get herself together someone had wrapped their arms around her frame to pull her out of the way of the stretcher.
