Nate

Doctor Ally reassures me that Elsa is fine. She pats me on the shoulder and quickly drops her hand. Suddenly remembering who I am.

“Alpha. It’s just her human side. She will be fine after the full moon.”

Very few knew that she had already shifted and I was trying to keep it that way. Yet Elsa didn’t seem fine. She couldn’t be, she passed out. Even for a human that meant something was wrong.

Finn and Elsa were staring at each other when I went back into the bedroom. Her eyes were narrowed at him. There was also a pink tinge to Elsa’s cheeks. She drops her baby blues immediately.

“I best be going.” Finn mutters, rising to his feet.

“Thanks for your help, Finn.”

“It’s not a problem. We need to stick together. Now more than ever. What’s the next step?”

“I haven’t thought that far. I wanted to get back here.”

“Then I suggest you think quickly, Nate. All this is your idea. If you don’t make a decision soon, someone else will.”

He was talking about himself. That much was obvious.
