I could hear her. Farrah’s voice seemed to carry more than any of the others.

She was once again trying to hit on my mate. I smile as Nate defends me.

Defend. It was an odd feeling. No one had stuck up for me in years, not since Dad. Even when people found out what Kyra was doing to me, they turned a blind eye. Ignoring what was happening right in front of them.

Settling down on the bottom of the stairs, I just listen.

Farrah demands to know why he would choose me over her. How he could want me when he knew that she was a Luna by birth right. But I was too. She just didn't know it.

Nate's voice raises. “If you continue to pester me, I have no problem shutting you in the dungeon.”
