Escaping

XAVIER’S POV

Rox was gone for over half an hour and I got impatient after a series of short threats I finally got his wolves to break open his office little did we know that it was already chaos in here .

Looking down to see his body splattered over the floor of his pavement give me a kindle satisfaction cause I was already planning to kill him but some beat me to it .

‘’It was you wasn’t it ? ‘’

Rox’s Beta said with a growl getting ready to attack

I lazily looked around the balcony not even turning to him and I heard Jason warn him

‘’Watch where you’re pointing fingers or I’ll rip you throat out ‘’

The Beta still stood his ground already convinced i was the one who murdered his Alpha ,

‘’Hmmm’’ I thought out loud as my eyes landed on the blood splattered over the glass

I slowly touched it and it immediately burned my skin

‘’ what’s your name? ‘’ I asked the Beta moving towards him

‘’Dante ‘’ he answered through his clenched teeth

‘’ I’d have one of my Betas help you join your alpha in hell for what you just said but I’ll let it slide because you just lost your Alpha ‘’

I threatened and rubbed the black blood on his wrist.

He immediately closed his eyes and yelled out to the other wolves

‘’ it’s wolves bane , so it has to be hunters and they might still be in the building start the search ‘’

He turned to me and continued

‘’ my apologies Alpha king we’ll go find the culprits now ‘’

With that all the wolves exited the room all running out and Adrian said

‘’ there’s no way it was an hunter , the wolves bane might have slowed Rox down but a human still wouldn’t stand a chance ‘’

‘’It definitely smells human, and the lingering kind too they’d find the killer I no time the scent is strong ‘’ I answered walking out

‘’Hmmm Alpha what do you mean scent I don’t smell anything ‘’ Adrian pointed out making me stop in my tracks and turning to him

‘’What do you mean you don’t smell anything? ‘’ I asked

Adrian shrugged and turned to Jason to inquire if he got anything

‘’The room only smells like Rox , that’s why his Beta got all riled up there’s nothing else but Rox . Do you smell something else ? ‘’

Jason asked

I looked at both of them in confusion. What do they mean by they didn’t smell anything while I stood here with the scent growing stronger and stronger

‘’He’s in the vents ‘’

We heard one of the wolves call out and we rushed down to them

As I got closer and closer the sent grew stronger and more powerful , I didn’t need to know exactly where the person was as I just let my wolf guide me

‘’Go faster ‘’ : Luca : my wolf called out impatiently as he tried to push forward

Rox’s wolves had taken a different direction but I knew where the scent was coming from so my Betas just hurried after me

I pushed the door to the kitchen open and scanned the room ‘’ empty ‘’ Luca snarled in disappointment .As we turned to leave there was a loud thud on the ground .

And there she was , the source of the scent I’d be rushing to find . It looked like she had been through hell crawling out of the vents her long black hair was put into a high ponytail, even though she had a jacket on I could still see her figure perfectly .

A perfect face and a glorious body

‘’MATE’’ Luca growled

As her eyes landed on me she immediately went straight for the window but I was quick to stop her

‘’MINE’’

I said out loud grabbing her wrist, I was finally closer and her scent was the most intoxicating feeling ever.

She looked at me in confusion as she struggled to escape

‘’Alpha ‘’

Jason and Adrian called out immediately they entered the kitchen

I turned to them and got distracted which my mate took as an opportunity.

I felt a sharp burning pain on my shoulders and I released her hand

With a swift movement she jumped through the glass window and disappeared into the dark .

Pulling out the silver knife from my shoulders I barked orders to my Betas

‘’ we must find her first , she’s your Luna ‘’

‘’Holy shit ‘’ I heard Jason cursed behind me as we went after her from the window.

HAZEL’S POV

‘’Fuck ... fuck ... fuck ‘’ I cursed out loud running as fast as my legs could carry me wondering what that bullshit was all about

I reached for the intercom in my ears and it was no longer there

‘’Shit ‘’ I cursed again knowing very well I was lost and the wolves were definitely gonna catch up to me any time soon since they were faster on four legs .

After a short while I paused breathing heavily trying to navigate my next movement hoping Andrew and Tamara would find me soon .

‘’ I fucking hate wolves ‘’ I thought getting ready to run again

Before I could speed of someone pulled me back

Without looking at the person and with no caring intention I reached for my last knife but he was quick to stop me .

I finally got a good look at him and it was the same wolf from earlier

‘’You’re not from the Apollo are you ? ‘’ I asked trying to buy Time for my next move

‘’And you’re not human ‘’ he said with a cold stern voice

Nodding my head in agreement to both questions I swiftly twisted his arm and sent me elbow crashing into face .

‘’Fuck you ‘’ I said breaking free

But then again I was held down by two other wolves

‘’You shouldn’t have done that ‘’ the man I just attacked said angrily with his eyes darker than I remembered

I didn’t even have enough time to process what was gonna happen next when I suddenly felt a sharp pain on my neck .

I yelled out in pain knowing fully well what just happened, my body staggered further into the arms of the wolf who just marked me .

The pain slowly took over my body and my vision became blurry with every ounce of strength left in me I was able to shake them off some how and stumbled away from them slowly.

‘’Stay the hell away from me ‘’ I warned as I kept moving backwards still trying trying to shake of the hazy feeling

That was the last thing I heard before I felt an hard impact which sent me flying across the road.
