CHAPTER 28

IRISH

This was the only name which failed to disappear from Adrian's mind ever since he left her behind and went to work, and the only name that rang a bell in his head till he gave out the command.

"Carson, turn the car now. Take me back to the mansion." Adrian's voice was low, yet yielding so much authority that Carson felt his hands moving following every single word that fell off Adrian's lips.

As the speeding car ran on its tires, Adrian steadily tapped his foot on the ground, his eyebrows raised, a look of unease settling on his features.

Fishing out his phone from his suitcase, he unlocked it, only to stare at the lock screen before looking out the window. This was the secret he kept from everyone else. It was the fact that merely staring at Irish brought him peace.

Was that supposed to calm him?

Yes. It usually did, but today, he wasn't himself. Not when Irish was being tortured right in his house.
