CHAPTER 27

Having heard the voice of the man as he cried out that he had found the necklace, Irish walked to the scene, glad that at least, it had been found and she could resume going to the hospital peacefully.

Ignoring everyone's glances, she began walking towards the exit door.

"She...the recent servant, Irish. I found it in her room." The manservant pointed an accusing finger at Irish, his voice filled with passion.

Adrian stood with his arms folded as he watched the scene unfolding before him. His mate was being accused of stealing his wife's property and all he did was fold his arms and watch.

"Irish, you shouldn't have done that. Stealing your mistress's necklace, of what use is it to you?" Adrian scolded mildly, a flicker of pity appearing in his honey-brown eyes.

He sighed.

Irish parted her lips to speak, but was too weak from her previous injury and too numb from the shocking news to even make a sound.
