Chapter 2

 “I am having his baby.”

The words echoed to my hearing and for some minutes I froze, all I could see around me was total darkness and silence then her voice of laughter ruining the whole thing for me, what would become of me if she had Liam’s baby?

I noticed I was on the couch in the living room and I knew everything that took place was not a dream, it was real but how I ended up sitting, I just can’t remember, a lot of questions are playing in my head right now so I asked her, “Is that lady still here?” I realized she was no more with us.

“Yes, I will advise you, Madam Gina, do not let her words get to you, she is a home breaker, I am sure Sir Liam might not even know her.”

“Mrs Sarah I know you are concerned about me, she is carrying my husband's child, no one can just walk in here and create a false statement, where is she?”

“She is ordering the maids around to get her things in, she is here to stay and I have bad feelings about it.”

“I will go talk to her,” I said walking outside the door when I saw her giving orders around like a boss.

“Hey, be careful with that, it cost me a fortune you know, do not break my things, Liam spent so much getting them for me.” She kept bragging. I don’t have a problem with her but why will Liam do this to me? Do I deserve this treatment? If he loves someone else then why did he choose to spend the rest of his life with me?

“You finally awake, I thought you died.” She said with no pity for me.

“I am not dead, why now? Why do you have to come today?”

“Excuse me, you don’t tell me when to come to my man’s house.”

“This is my husband's house and I am still his wife, you can’t just move your things in without permission even if you claim to have his baby.”  I tried so hard to be brave while talking to her but inside I was broken like a baby who lost everything.

“And who said I don’t have the permission to be here? Who told you that?”

“You are lying, Liam will never do that to me, never, he cares for me, he will never hurt me.”

She laughed so loud and walked close to me raising my chin, “Poor Gina, we both know Liam never loved you for once, you were just a tool we had to make use of.”

I hit her hands off, “I am not a tool and Liam will never use me, what if he is using you.”

“I know the truth is bitter, just accept you have been played, have you ever asked yourself why suddenly he asked you to be his wife?”

“He wanted me to be his wife because he loves me, stop interfering in my marriage life and leave, I will call him now and I will prove to you that he loves me.”

I turned around, what am I even saying, Liam will never pick up his call at this hour of the day, I will have to leave him a text message.

“Liam married you to get his account that was frozen by Grandpa and also the entire shares as the heir to be given to him completely.”

I froze for a moment, this bitch is lying to me, Liam loves me.

“Stop lying.”

“Do you want to cry? Cry baby, why will Liam be with someone like you? you don’t deserve him a bit so listen to my little advice, start arranging your things because by the time he gets here, he will be kicking you out for good.”

“I said, stop lying to me.” I yelled and Mrs Sarah held me close saying, “Don’t waste your energy on her Madam Gina, she is trying to ruin your big day.”

“Hey you, I am going to be the new Madam here in this mansion, if you love your job and want to still keep it, better be on my good side.” She said out loud.

“Sir Liam never told us about you ma’am, as long as Madam Gina is Sir Liam’s wife, only she will I obey and serve.” She replied.

“You old hag, I will make sure you lose your job.” She threatened and to me, it was not an empty threat, she meant it for real with the looks in her eyes but why would Liam cheat on me, I know things are complicated with us but we made passionate love the other time or did he touch me because he felt he has to just to fulfil his duties as my husband? All my thinking was filled with a fact of what if this or what if that, I was confused as hell, I would only believe her if I heard from Liam himself that he cheated on me and got her pregnant. I really hope this is a mistake.

“Mrs Sarah, please get me my phone, I need to message Liam.”

“Yes, Madam Gina.”

I sat in the living room still trying to process the whole thing that was happening right before me, she was still bossy and controlling the maids who happened to listen to her. Mrs. Sarah brought my phone and I unlocked the phone quickly and searched for Liam’s contact and I tapped on the new message giving a space to fill the box with what I wished to say.

“Sorry to disturb you dearly, I know you are working but please I need you to reply because it’s urgent, a lady is packing into our home and she claims to be having your child. I need you home to clear the air.” I sent the message hoping to get a positive reply from him but I got nothing, and now I am more disturbed.

“What do I do Mrs Sarah?”

“Let’s call the police to kick her out or also tell Grandpa.” She suggested.

“No, I don’t wish to go through that method, remember she says she is with a child, let's let her be for now and wait for my husband to come home and clear the air.” I added and she nodded with me, Immediately I got a beep from my phone and it was from Liam, I opened the message only to see, “I am busy.”
