Gina’s POV
I remained on the floor with everything flashing before my eyes and my birthday was ruined because of everything.
I heard a knock at my door and I knew it was Mrs. Sarah, “Come in.”
She came in with my cake and placed it on the floor with me, “It’s still your day, why not make a wish?” She said to me with a smile as she tried to make me happy since it was just a few hours left to midnight.
I finally blew off the candles and made a wish that my marriage will Liam would never be broken and that we would love each other till the very end.
Mrs Sarah wished me good night and I locked the door behind her when she left I walked to my painting room and sat down looking at the empty board, the only way I can sleep is to ease my mind by doing what I love the most which is painting, I need to paint out my heart to feel my true self again and I hope by tomorrow things will get better and Mariam will be out for good as well.
I didn’t know when I slept off and I ended up having conception dreams, I got scared because of the dream, what if the dream is about Mariam and the child she is having is really for my husband? What will become of me?
I can’t take it anymore, I need to get dressed and head to Liam’s office, maybe I should see him for us to talk about things and I hope things will only get better after that.
I finished getting ready and decided to get breakfast when I was told Mariam threw my breakfast away and she has been insulting and threatening everyone who refuses to obey her saying she will make sure once Liam comes home, she will make him sack him Immediately.
I didn’t want bad energy this morning so I left the house and stopped by the coffee shop to get my coffee and when I finished I drove directly to Liam’s office, seeing his car parked in the parking lot, I knew he was in at the moment.
I met with the secretary who told me to come back later saying Liam has some important meeting at the moment and he can’t be disturbed meaning I need to come back from 1 pm maybe by then he will be free so I took the opportunity to visit the Art Gallery and I was happy seeing a lot of person taking an interest in my very own artwork.
“Mrs. Gina, I didn’t know you were here, so happy to see you,” Rebecca said to me with a smile and we hugged, well Rebecca is the Director here, and she allowed me to display some of my artwork here, this is what I do when I get bored at home or when my husband is busy at work again.
We conversed about so many things and she told me about an exhibition coming up and since I was one of the best, she wants me to paint something unique, emotional and addictive as well.
I checked the time and it was already time to leave for my husband’s office but she insisted on buying me a meal and she would be so sad if I turned her down so I agreed and we ate together at a fancy restaurant close by.
A few moments later, I was already present at Liam’s company and got the same feedback from the secretary.
“I am Liam’s wife, he will be wanting to see me as well, it’s urgent please just let me in to talk with my husband.”
“I am sorry ma’am but sir Liam gave us strict orders not to let you in, I guess you should go home and wait for him.”
“What do you mean that my husband gave an order not to let his wife in? tell him, Gina, his wife is here to see him, I beg of you.”
“Ma’am I passed the message to you already and there is nothing I can do about it, if you don’t mind, I have other tasks to carry out.” She said. She took her seat and focused more on the computer on her table and I found it so sad that my husband was refusing to see me, I knew so well this was lunch break but why? if I did something wrong he should at least tell me what I did wrong and not treat me this way because I am weak,
I can’t take this anymore, I am going in by all means to see Liam, he is the one hurting me and I demand an explanation from him.
I made my way into his office and I saw him talking to two beautiful ladies with a smile written on his face, I had never seen Liam smile that way to me before, he looked so happy talking with the ladies and making them happy.
“Liam.” I called his name and when he looked at me, the smile faded off and I saw no affection in his eyes when he questioned me, “Gina, why are you here?”
“I am here to see you, why won’t you let me in?”
He stood up and walked close to me saying, “Gina, do me a favour and go home, stop acting childish, I will be home soon and resolve everything.”
“Really, Liam? You want me to go home so you can have enough time to flirt with them? Do you even care about me, your wife? Do you know how bad you are hurting me? Who is Mariam and why is she in our home?”
“GINA!!! GO HOME, DON’T MAKE ME REPEAT MYSELF.” He raised his voice at me and I cried running out of his company.
